A lovely, bright and well equipped house. Very peaceful setting although very strong silage smells at certain times of the day might reduce the time spent in the well manicured garden.

A perfect Christmas
My family and I rented the Byre for five days across the Christmas season and had the most wonderful stay. The house was beautifully furnished and warm, but the property team went above and beyond with lovely festive touches and a Christmas tree! The location was ideal, as we had all the perks of countryside calm and seclusion, while also only being a 10 minute drive away from Cirencester. The property team were also very flexible and easy to get in contact with when we needed a later check-out time. Thank you so much for making this holiday so wonderful for my family!

Idyllic country stay
The Byre is an old property reinvented to the highest standards within an idyllic farming hamlet.
It’s the old Cotswolds with a new twist and within 10 mins drive of the town of Cirencester where dining and shopping rub shoulders with Roman history.

Lovely property and perfectly managed
We had a fantastic time at this new but still rustic feeling and spacious property. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of space for us throughout the place. Really well managed by StayCotswold too, very easy to book and detailed instructions on access to the property and checking in. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend the property and StayCotswolds too.

A beautiful weekend retreat
The Byre was exactly what we we hoped it would be - a beautiful, clean, well presented cottage tucked away in the Cotswolds. All the instructions were clear, communication was great, there is not much to criticise. We researched the location, so we knew getting around would involve a lot of walking, but that's what we were looking for. That being said, getting a taxi or even an Uber is not a problem. Some of the pubs in the surrounding villages were incredible, with amazing food. We would happily come back.

A wonderful family stay
A lovely, modernised barn conversion with plenty of room for myself and my three family members to stay. Beautifully decorated for a comfortable and cosy retreat. All bathrooms and kitchens are well equipped, with the sitting room providing a lovely spot for us all to gather. Very comfy beds.
The village was peaceful and easily accessible for days out exploring the Cotswolds. Would happily recommend to friends, and stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Feedback on The Byre
We really enjoyed our stay at The Byre. Some feedback that may be useful. The showers had wire baskets that were held on by suction caps. If something heavy was put in the basket (a bottle of shampoo and a bottle of shower gel), they fell off. We couldn't find any seat pads for the outside chairs. We were really lucky with the weather.

The perfect stay in a peaceful Cotswolds village
The Byre is an idyllic converted barn in a dreamy Cotswolds village. A lovely, light and airy, well-appointed home with a gorgeous open-plan kitchen, hugely comfortable living room and three good-sized bedrooms. It's perfect for a family stay, spacious and stylishly decorated, with an outdoor dining area in the neat little garden. We were so happy with our choice, and were lucky to be staying on a sunny spring bank holiday weekend, where we could make use of the garden and enjoy walks in the pretty village surroundings. The area is so peaceful and was just what we were looking for to escape busy city life for a few days. Within half an hour's drive, winding through the magical English countryside, you can be in the most of the popular Cotswolds towns and villages; and favourites like Bibury are almost on the doorstep. We'd highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a perfect taste of Cotswolds living.
I stayed here with 3 friends for 2 nights. The house is very comfortable and we had plenty of space.
Our experience could have been improved by a few additions such as something to play music on - there are no speakers or any kind of sound systems in the house. We assumed there would be - which was a mistake. Playing music through your phone speaker or laptop isn’t ideal!
The kitchen is just about well stocked enough but a full set of wine glasses or some champagne flutes would be a welcome addition.
My criticisms are minor but at this price point we just expected a touch more, hence the 4 star overall review.

September Short Break
Location, layout and expectations of property were matched.
A couple of negatives….upstairs master bedroom low wall plug sockets did not work (3 out of 4) and this was reported to 24/7 housekeeping mobile no. within one hour of arrival via voicemail but no response received from any source…had to rely on ceiling light only in that room. Secondly there are no accessible windows in upper floor bedrooms which results in limited fresh air in these rooms..understand health and safety aspect but does not make for comfortable night sleep.
Overall though a very pleasant and peaceful property where we enjoyed our stay.
