Great stuff!

Excellent stay. The kids loved it! Plenty to do. Only downside is that the local restaurants /coffeehouses are a little pricey and either the portion size or quality is lacking. Cirencester is only 10/15 minute drive and offers great inexpensive options. Easy parking too.

Loved our stay

Superb stay - really enjoyed being able to access the lake with our canoe from the decking at back of house. Thoughtfully decorated and lovely wood burner. Would happily return. Would agree with another reviewer though that the beds are very hard.

Fantastic Cottage!

This is not our first time staying in this cottage - we keep coming back because it is just perfect! Great location looking out over the lake and the cottage is modern, homely and clean. Lower Mill is a fantastic place - it has something for everyone, be it relaxing with a drink whilst looking out of the lake, water sports / activities, country walks, swimming, spa and tennis. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area as well as one on site (Balihoo - which we love). We would highly recommend staying here!

Fabulous holiday

We booked a last minute stay as we love the area and have used Orion before. The property was beautiful looking across the lake. Very pet and child friendly with everything we needed. Great to have parking right outside the property aswell. The property is maintained and decorated to a really high standard and was spotlessly clean. Added bonus being able to use the spa and swimming pool. Thank you again for a great stay

The perfect 40th Surprise Getaway!

Having just moved internationally, and living nomadically for several months, I needed something concrete in the diary for my husbands 40th birthday! This was the absolute perfect solution! It gave us a mini 3 day holiday, that we didn't know we needed! It was wonderful to also be able to host our family to surprise him, and there was plenty for the kids to do! We will definitely be back, there is so much more to see and experience! This spot was just total soul food!

Review of Rush house Mill village beautiful cottage

As always Orion holiday team are fab to work with .. and now being the third time we have stayed at rush house we love it the location right on the lake is perfect for the kids and their paddle boarding and kayaking ! The house itself has been done out so lovely tthe refurbishment and all the amenities are all there haven’t missed a trick that’s why we love it so as others are as inaccurate as this ! Although I would say the mattress is a key investment that either Orion or the owner need to look at I would be very surprised if this was the first negative reviews about the bed as to be honest we have now stayed three times and with rbi going own bedding and topper this time still didn’t help us sleep it really does put a dampener on staying here as a result I question whether we will again unless this changes ! Such a shame as a Perfect bolt hole break for us and the kids love it

Fantastic cottage in a great location!

Our recent stay at the three-bedroom cottage in Lower Mill Estate, nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds, was an absolute delight. The cottage was spacious and cozy, providing ample room for our group to unwind comfortably. The cottage overlooks one of the lakes and we enjoyed sitting on the decking watching the sunset over the lake. The estate's array of activities, from invigorating swimming sessions to soothing spa treatments and exciting paddle boarding, kept everyone entertained and made our days vibrant. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at Ballihoo restaurant. The delectable cuisine exceeded our expectations, offering a diverse menu that satisfied every palate in our group. From hearty breakfasts to sumptuous dinners, every meal was a culinary adventure that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our holiday. Being able to enjoy a few glasses of wine and walk back to the cottage was a bonus! The cottage's serene surroundings and the estate's tranquil ambiance worked wonders in helping us relax. Our staycation turned out to be a fantastic way to unwind from the daily hustle and bustle. Whether lounging indoors by the fireplace or exploring the stunning Cotswolds outdoors, the experience was truly refreshing. In summary, our stay at the Lower Mill Estate's three-bedroom cottage was fantastic. With its well-appointed accommodation, a range of enjoyable activities, beautiful scenery and the culinary delights of Ballihoo restaurant, it provided the perfect setting to unwind and create lasting memories. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a fantastic holiday in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Rush House Cottage

The booking experience provided by Orion Holiday was truly exceptional. They gave me some great advice about the properties available, helping make the right decision for our first visit, to the Lower Mill Estate. The clear and concise correspondence from Orion, made arrival and check in, really easy. The information pack provided, answered all the questions about the house, the estate and the facilities. The cottage was just perfect. Loads of character, with a contemporary touch. The kitchen had everything you needed, the living room was spacious, a dining area which could easily seat 8 and downstairs toilet with a washing machine and dryer. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished and the beds ultra comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and bright. The outside space is very special with a great big wraparound deck overlooking the lake, a large sofa, table for 6 and a very impressive BBQ (gas included). Just a perfect place to relax and take in the views. The Lower Mill Estate has some great facilities. The spa’s indoor swimming pool is fantastic if you choose your swim times correctly. Maybe, if you don’t have children, avoid the Saturday morning/afternoon and wait for the adult only evening sessions. Even though we didn’t use the lake facilities, it did look very tempting. Paddle boards and kayaks are relatively cheap to hire. Overall, I can only say, this break was just what the doctor ordered. A truly relaxing few days, made ever so easy, by the exceptional service by Orion Holiday

Very enjoyable family weekend in lovely accommodation in a gorgeous location

We booked this accommodation for my husband's 50th family birthday. Communication about the booking was very good and consistent and the staff I spoke to were very helpful. The accommodation itself was lovely and very comfortable. The location was amazing, right on the side of a large lake. The accommodation was very well equipped. The inside was immaculately clean. The only thing I would comment negatively on was the cleanliness of the outside area overlooking the lake. There was a note in the welcome folder saying that cobwebs were inevitable due to the location next to the lake but the cobwebs on the outside furniture were a lot more than that. It looked like it had not been cleaned for quite some time. We spent half an hour cleaning the furniture which I would not expect to do on my holiday. We did not get any cobwebs afterwards and we stayed there for 3 nights. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend.
