"Beautiful hotel- bit outdated in some respects but that added to the overall charm. Only downside was restaurant charging a la carte prices rather than the set menu. At reception paying the next morning, someone else had exactly the same problem. Delayed our checkout as we had to run through every expense and correct the bill. Make sure you check the bill on checkout in detail… a la carte pricing seems to be a try on theme sadly!! We’d also been charged for breakfast and hadn’t had breakfast!"

Outside noise was okay, but other guests were exceptionally noisy and disturbed us until 2am. We left the following morning unrefreshed. The shower cubicle was very small and difficult to use ... though the water itself was hot and plentiful. "

"A lovely small guest house with amazing helpful hosts. In a fantastic location with views of the church from the bedroom and the castle from the breakfast room. Beautifully presented breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, delicious scrambled eggs and bacon, fruit salad, croissants, a selection of bread, cold meats, lots of different cheeses, cakes and fresh orange juice."
