Whilst not the most exciting hotel, can’t fault the Rydges Latimer on much. Good location a 10 min walk to downtown, staff were all very pleasant and efficient, room was nice and dinner at the restaurant was good. Good for a short stay

First time in Christchurch so the easy and central location of the hotel was the first plus. Everything was as expected- clean and quiet room and lot of towels. The bathroom was very clean also. Parking was safe. Breakfast had lot of choices and the poached eggs and hash browns were very good. Will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The hotel is walkable to the center shopping area with restaurant choices.. easy to get tours and taxi or shuttle service. The restaurant has a decent breakfast, but the lunch and dinner are very good.. the room was clean, but I don’t like carpeting and that could probably be updated and the bed I thought needed a new mattress.. but it was still comfortable. They do have a laundry room and a small gym so it was a good stay overall and reasonably priced.

My room was very pleasing and modern, offering an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Wither bathroom was stylish and came with a great array of care products. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wonderful variety of hot and cold foods with a highlight of fresh honeycomb! Conveniently located in Latimer Square, the French Connection shuttle stops right outside. Highly recommended!

The front desk staff is so helpful and accommodating. We arrived after a long trip in the morning and were able to check in early. The bottle of wine was a great benefit! Breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of foods to try. I would definitely stay again.
