Behind its honey-coloured stone façade, Stone Porch blends original character with a calm, practical interior that is easy to settle into. The layout flows naturally between the sitting room, dining area and kitchen, creating a relaxed, sociable space for spending time together.



A ground-floor bedroom with adjoining shower room adds flexibility, while upstairs rooms offer quieter, more private spaces.



A wood-burning stove and underfloor heating keep the house comfortable year-round, and the enclosed south-facing garden extends the living space outdoors in warmer months.



Positioned in the centre of the village, the house offers a slower pace with everything close to hand, while remaining well placed for exploring the wider Cotswolds.

LIVING SPACE

The sitting room is centred around the wood-burning stove, with comfortable seating, a smart TV and a simple, natural palette that gives the room a relaxed, easy feel. It opens through to the dining area, which comfortably seats six and suits shared meals, slow breakfasts and relaxed evenings in.



KITCHEN

Well laid out and designed for proper use, whether you are preparing a quick breakfast or cooking for a full house. A Belfast sink, generous worktop space and a full range of essentials make it both practical and sociable, sitting alongside the dining area to keep everything connected.



BEDROOMS

Stone Porch sleeps up to six across three bedrooms. The ground-floor bedroom is particularly versatile, with large windows overlooking the garden and direct access to a walk-in shower room, making it ideal for guests who prefer step-free living or added privacy. Upstairs, two further bedrooms offer calm, comfortable spaces with a quiet village outlook.



BATHROOMS

The family bathroom features a freestanding roll-top bath, separate walk-in shower and heated towel rail. A second shower room on the ground floor adds flexibility, particularly for families or mixed-age groups.



PRIVATE OFFICE

A dedicated, quiet spot for catching up on email or settling in with a book.



OUTDOOR SPACE

The south-facing garden is one of the home's standout features. Fully enclosed and private, it suits families with children and offers seating and a BBQ, ideal for morning coffee, relaxed lunches or long summer evenings.



THE VILLAGE

Milton-under-Wychwood is a beautiful Cotswold village with a strong sense of community and a noticeably slower pace than many of the more heavily visited towns. Pubs, cafés, a deli and everyday amenities are all within walking distance, so you can settle in without relying on the car.



The surrounding area offers easy access to some of the Cotswolds' best-known destinations: Burford for independent shops and a classic high street, Stow-on-the-Wold for its historic market square and antiques, Bourton-on-the-Water for its picturesque riverside setting, and Chipping Norton, a lively market town. Daylesford Organic Farm is also within easy reach for a longer, more leisurely outing.



Guests have exclusive use of the entire property.



The house is set up for relaxed, independent stays, with self check-in so you can arrive at a time that suits you. A small number of storage areas may be locked, but all living spaces, garden areas and parking are available for guest use.

Milton-under-Wychwood is one of the Cotswolds’ more understated villages, offering a genuine sense of local life away from the busier tourist spots. Set within the Evenlode Valley, it forms part of the historic Wychwood villages, an area once at the heart of the ancient royal hunting forest.



The pace here is slower and more relaxed, with everything you need within easy reach.

Within walking distance are several well-regarded pubs and local spots:

The surrounding area is ideal for walking, with footpaths in every direction and easy access to open countryside.



A short distance away, Wychwood Wild Garden offers peaceful woodland walks across 12 acres of gardens, ponds and wildlife, providing a quiet, restorative space to explore.



Nearby, Bruern Farms combines a café, farm shop and seasonal events, with beautiful countryside surroundings and walking routes, and sunflower fields in the summer months.



For families, there are local play parks within the village, along with open green spaces and plenty of room to explore.

Stone Porch is well placed for exploring some of the Cotswolds’ most popular destinations, all within around 10–15 minutes by car:



• Burford – a classic Cotswold high street with shops, cafés and historic buildings

• Stow-on-the-Wold – market square, antiques and independent boutiques

• Bourton-on-the-Water – picturesque riverside setting and family attractions

• Chipping Norton – a lively market town with restaurants, theatre and shops



For a longer morning out, Daylesford Organic Farm is also within easy reach.
