Stay for visit to Shedd Aquarium

Overall the place was a decent fit for our family getaway, had plenty of space. Did note limited number of place settings for dishes, no coffee maker but able to make instant coffee with tea kettle. Only two chairs for dining room table. Beds were comfortable, very few hangers available in closets. Felt like being back in college with scarcity of decor and quality of furniture available but we were able to make it work: Check in and out was easy, property manager pleasant and helpful.

Total scam artist

I booked it 10 months in advance. He called me the day before arrival saying he had people who wanted to stay an extra 20 days and that they had “just” let him know of a plumbing problem. He wouldn’t send out a plumber immediately because his handyman finished work at 5:00. I gave him a 24 hour plumbers number to fix “the problem,” but then he said he couldn’t do that because the renters had “valuables” in the apartment. The whole story didn’t make sense. You’d be crazy to rent from him.
