Take a short walk down to the pond for some fishing off the dock or sit by the waterfront fire pit. Other outdoor amenities include hot tub, and corn hole. Inside we’ve provided plenty to keep you busy: board games, Nintendo Wii, cards, and books. We have satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Ample parking at the entrance to the cabin as well as further up the hill, with a secondary entrance as you head back to the cabin.
Feedback from previous guests:
"We had a wonderful and peaceful time at the cabin. The rooms are so incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was great along with all the seating areas outside. Our host was so kind and responsive to questions we had!" - Dana, May 2026
"Great house. Excellent for our family. (Three adults and 3 children). Close drive to everything we wanted to visit. Clean and well stocked. We will definitely return for another visit." - Kenneth, Mar 2026
"We had a lovely weekend at this cabin! The interior of the cabin had all the amenities and comfort we needed, but the outdoor spaces were truly outstanding! We loved our mornings on the porch drinking coffee, chatting, and enjoying all the birdsong in the peaceful setting. It was awesome being able to stay in a quiet, private location with such quick access to downtown Chattanooga and local attractions." - Christina, Mar 2026
"The house was so perfect for our family trip. The proximity to the city was great but we still felt the cabin vibe. In the house, everyone had their own room with bathroom and smart tvs ready to go. Everything was well stocked beyond our expectations which was amazing because we travelled with two small children and we always forget something. The pond was great for fishing and we took the canoe out. The hot tub and fire pits were perfect for relaxing. Communication was great as well when we had questions. We hope to come back!!!" - Kristy, Feb 2026
"The space is used oh so well! The hot tub is in great shape, the fire pit worked great, and there was somehow always hot water, even when all of us were showering back to back! They even had a crockpot, which was super thoughtful. Loved all the Christmas touches, the lovely front porch, and all the sitting areas inside and outside. The couch was comfy, and somehow they've given enough parking for a family, even on that hill. Overall, it was an incredible space for a long-distance family meet up in the middle." - Kyrstie, Nov 225
There are 4 bedrooms and 4 full baths in the main house. The Primary bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower on the main level. A second bedroom/den with a queen bed and daybed (2 twins) is also on the main level next to another full bath with a walk-in shower, and is equipped with a mini-split heating & cooling unit. The lower level also has the kitchen, dining and main living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, utensils, and spices.
A spiral staircase leads you upstairs to two additional bedrooms and a gallery overlooking the living area. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two queens with a recently installed large Smart TV. Both bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom. There is a futon in the gallery for additional sleeping.
Guests have access to the entire property, excluding the garage and storage shed. We do share a driveway with our next-door neighbor, so we ask that the driveway never be blocked. There is plenty of parking around the house. The pond is a shared family pond but please feel free to enjoy it as your own. Please note, the pond is spring fed and seasonal; in dry weather the water level will be low.

Loved the location and easy access. We have stayed in other parts of of the state before and were really impressed with this stay. Felt more homey than touristy really enjoyed the time with the family. Would stay there again.
The home was spacious and comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet and local residents were very nice.

Family Vacation
We had a great time at the Family Time Cabin. There was plenty of room, each couple had their own room and we loved the huge porch overlooking the pond and the property.
The firepit is a plus and the drive into town is a short 15 minutes.
I would stay again!
Our family stayed here over Easter weekend and it was absolutely perfect! We relaxed in the hot tub, fished off the dock, made smores by the firepit, and even did an egg hunt in the greenspace by the pond! Plus, you can not beat the location...you get all the feels of being off in the mountains, but only have to travel a short distance to get to downtown! We will 100% be back again!
Property was nicely tucked back in the woods for privacy and serenity. Property was clean and ready for our enjoyment. Everyone was quite comfortable and had plenty of space. Everything worked, We catered and also cooked a huge family meal for Sunday. Highly recommend this place, it was a great experience and hosts were great. I would book again, and may do so next graduation celebration in a few years.
This home and lovely grounds were an ideal gathering place for 6 adults and 4 little ones to celebrate the grandparents’ 70th birthdays. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we enjoyed relaxing on the porch, in the hot tub, and around the fire pit, as well as building a real fire next to the pond for nighttime s’mores. Good location for all the Lookout Mountain attractions.
Walking up to the door on the expansive front porch with eye level view of the trees was just divine. The living area with unique spiral staircase to the balcony, fully stocked kitchen, fire pit, corn hole, picnic table, rocking chairs...what more could you ask for. Oh, the comfortable beds, short trail walk to the outdoor fire pit by the water, and great location also made our stay a 5 star experience. The managers are now aware the microwave and one shower light were out of order and the fridge/water dispenser needs, but and have surely fixed them. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing time in Chattanooga. This house was just as listed and was perfect for our large group. We had some issues figuring out how to work the grill but the host was super responsive and quickly helped us resolve the issue. Hot tub was clean and lovely in the evenings. Thank you!
It was a great time. Thank you very much for sharing your space with us. There was a lot of space. Great space in the living room area and porch with nice shade. Lots of great chairs to sit on. The beds were comfortable. Property was beautiful and peaceful. Everything was clean. There were enough towels and sheets, pillows, etc for everyone. It was a hot summer weekend and the upper rooms were a little warm at night.

Great Family Vacation Spot
This cabin was just what we needed for our large family (14) to have a great stay in Chattanooga. An open floor plan allowed for all of us to be together. The front porch with the comfortable rocking chairs was a favorite. The detached hotel-like room also gave us extra sleeping space. The firepit and hot tub was a favorite as well. Being able to fish in the pond and go out on the rowboat also was a hit. It’s a clean and enjoyable space. The only drawback is that because of all the wood, the sound inside carries and you have to be aware of this so that the kiddos can go to sleep before the adults do! Or your early risers need to go outside on the porch instead of staying inside since the conversation travels throughout the house. After we figured that out, it really was a delightful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin and would consider coming back to Chattanooga again since we did not get to see all that we wanted to see on this trip. Easy access to downtown as well.
We had three families of four (12 people) staying here. The property was great. Located far enough from the interstate (about a 5 minute drive) to feel secluded. Parking was enough for 3 large vehicles next to the cabin, with a turn around behind the property. Great view of the lake below from the front porch. The extended deck with propane fire pit was the hang out for the adults while the kids enjoyed the hot tub. The inside was well proportioned for gathering and we had plenty of room for everyone to sleep. Everyone also enjoyed the pond with fishing and canoeing. It seemed like everything we wanted to do around Chattanooga for the 3 days/nights was all within a 15 minute drive so very convenient.Donna and Stephanie were great to work with. We had some concerns about finalizing everything and they reached out directly to us, talked through it, and helped put us at ease. Next time we go back, I would put them at the top of the list to find properties with.
The house was so perfect for our family trip. The proximity to the city was great but we still felt the cabin vibe. In the house, everyone had their own room with bathroom and smart tvs ready to go. Everything was well stocked beyond our expectations which was amazing because we travelled with two small children and we always forget something. great stay!
This family cabin was a great place for our family... ages 2-60! Kids had a blast! Well stocked with plenty of bath towels and towels for the hot tub...
We loved the place and would def book again...
Nice place! Was a little disappointed that the house and pond was away from each other. Didn't realize that the house was up higher than the pond and in a neighborhood.

This property was definitely not what it appears to be in the pictures or description. The pond is down below the house and you have to walk an extremely steep driveway to get to and from it. The "additional" separate room is actually a small room in a garage! The main floor bathroom (with no shower) is between the kitchen and a bedroom and that is the only access to the bedroom. The stairs are ridiculously loud and guaranteed to wake up every person in the house. Also, you can literally hear someone talking anywhere in the house as most walls are just particle board. The house appears to be pieced together and not finished in areas. I Hope this helps in your decision making. PS, The ladies from iTripChattanooga were wonderful and very helpful
