"Great location within a small square with cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Public car park next to hotel which is free from 19:00 - 09:15 and not expensive during other times. We didn’t book breakfast but decided to have it. Such a good decision as breakfast was really good with almost too much of a selection. Pastries, breads, cereals, cheeses, hams, salmon, eggs, bacon, juices and much more."
House in the heart of the vineyards - Swimming pool & Sauna

"Beautiful property, well furnished and in a tranquil location in the evenings surrounded by vineyards. The The wine production and sales area is on the plot so there was some activity to do with this during the day but that didn't really concern us . There is a boulangerie 5 mins drive away and Chinon takes about 20 mins. No restaurants within walking distance but we knew that when we booked . The house has sufficient equipment with a large fridge/freezer although a working tin opener would help! Also although there are two dish washers only one of them worked, but we managed with that . We had a problem on our first day with flooding in one of the bathrooms, after contacting the owner some people worked on the drains all afternoon but a plumber was needed next day to resolve the situation .The septic tank also had to be emptied . Two bedrooms are downstairs and two upstairs . The staircase bannister was very loose and didn't feel safe at all - any one who is infirm or disabled would not be able to get upstairs . Having said all this we did have an enjoyable holiday in this beautifully furnished house but there were some areas that needed improvement ."

"The Hotel is located over the river from Chinon, so a good location for visiting the town and exploring the area. There are 3 parking places outside the hotel but there is a secured off-site car park for hotel guests a short distance away. We visited during the very hot weather in June 26 and our room was very warm at night as a consequence, an electric fan is provided which we had running all night. The breakfast is traditional French fare and very good quality. There is also a courtyard garden which is ideal for relaxing in or taking your breakfast. There is a wide choice of restaurants available in Chinon and we used Bistrot Fauve in the main square, which is associated with the hotel."

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce lieu plein de charme.La maison est décorée avec goût, le cadre est paisible.Les propriétaires sont accueillants et discrets.La situation du gîte à proximité du château apporte une atmosphère unique.Les extérieurs invitent à la détente avec une belle végétation.Nous avons également eu le plaisir de découvrir le restaurant semi-gastronomique "L'Auberge du Val de Vienne " à deux pas du gîte que nous recommandons vivement. Les plats sont savoureux et raffinés. On sent une véritable passion pour leur métier, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. Un passage obligatoire !"
