"A really fantastic house that we stayed in for a week with our 3 teenagers and one dog. The house is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It's in a beautiful forested setting, brilliant for walks and running. It's located close to Sarlat, which is really worth a look. Fantastic market on the Saturday we arrived, with tonnes of stalls with food and crafts. We found the house overall to be very comfortable. Our kids absolutely loved the pool because it's very large and deep, perfect for diving. And there's a large dining table by the pool with a huge patio umbrella. We ate outside all the time. The owner's daughters welcomed us on arrival and were very helpful with communication and giving directions (don't follow the Vrbo directions - they are completely wrong!). The only thing that we weren't aware of is that there are 3 double bedrooms and then a fourth "office" with a single bed. This isn't actually a room as it doesn't have a door but just a curtain, so not very private. It wasn't a problem for our 19 year old who offered to take that bed, but it's not made clear on the Vrbo listing. In summary, a beautifully presented and comfortable house, with a fantastic pool and in a stunning location. Would very much recommend."

"Charming cottage in a beautiful area about 15 min drive from Sarlat la caneda. Host couple is very kind and the pool is lovely. The cottage smells a little musty—as did many places we stayed in France—the furniture is a bit shabby and it is lacking air conditioning, so beware if it is really hot out that could be an issue. Overall, decent value and I would consider staying there again."

"Beautiful, very clean, very comfortable and well appointed and quiet Gite. We had a wonderful stay there. Would highly recommend it! Just a few minor things to note for future guests: As 2 families, we stayed as one family in the adjoining rooms with the other family in the annex which was ideal to give us some space from each other but of an evening, the children in the annex were a bit anxious to be where they couldn't be heard and to have to cross the courtyard in the dark if they needed us.It would have been helpful to know that cash was required for sheets and cleaning at the end of our stay. We were expecting card payment or bank transfer so a dash to St Genies and a quicker departure would have been possible if we had been forewarned. As a small suggestion, a lamp in the lounge area would be a nice, addition as the ceiling lights are too bright to make it cosy."

"Really liked the property, was very warm but aircon was good, pool good, views great, location great and host easy to communicate with and friendly - we had a small issue with a hornets nest and the owner sorted it promptly. Property well equipped with everything you need and all very comfortable. Great stay overall"
