The bright, open-concept kitchen and dining area is ideal for gathering, featuring a large dining table with seating for six, plus additional counter seating for three. The fully equipped kitchen includes all essential cookware, making it easy to enjoy meals at home.

Just off the kitchen, the cozy living room invites you to unwind with comfortable seating and a large Smart HDTV. Both bedrooms are located off the main hallway and thoughtfully designed for privacy and relaxation. Each features a plush king-size bed and a recently renovated ensuite bathroom. A convenient half bath in the common area adds extra ease for guests.

Step outside to the immaculate front porch, a charming spot to enjoy morning coffee or evening conversations in one of the outdoor lounge chairs. Please note, the fireplace is decorative and not functional.

Vacation with our college student

The Rutledge Inn was the perfect spot for us to relax with our college aged son. The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms each with its own bath. We enjoyed coffee on the large porch every morning. The location is convenient to many restaurants and downtown.

Our stay was amazing. The accommodations were perfect in a great location. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen and essentials were wonderful. The thing that really stood out was the response from the property manager, Duvet. They were so responsive - almost immediately. We thoroughly enjoyed Charleston. We stayed here for 2 weeks. My wife had a surgery at MUSC. The place had everything we needed and was close to shopping and restaurants. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Access to a shared workspace allowed for a quiet remote location.

This home was perfect for a 2 couple getaway. Plenty of seating in the den. Private bathrooms for both bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook. Comfortably decorated home. Would definitely recommend and stay again the area. Not related to the house, we did book the pool passes at The Wanderer Club. It was a much younger crowd than us (50 year olds!). It was a club vibe and not our scene. Very crowded on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and no televisions for the husbands to watch golf. It was not for us but the staff there was very nice and street parking was very easy.

Great Stay!

This was a wonderful property for two couples visiting Charleston! The home itself was great - just as pictured. We liked the location. It is a bit of a walk to the sights, 1 - 2 miles, but most of that is walking down major streets with shops and restaurants. We were glad for the walking to work off all the delicious food we found! Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous time

The property was first-rate. It's a really beautiful and spacious apartment with more than enough room for 2 couples traveling together. We happened to be there when it was VERY hot & humid out, so it was a short drive (rather than a walk) to downtown, but having a reserved parking spot made that a non-issue. We would definitely stay again.

Old friends in an old city

196 Rutledge embodies the old south spirit with its furnishings, architecture, and welcoming feel. The location is within walking distance of all the hot spots if you are a modestly healthy walker. An easy car ride or Uber to the historic downtown. Great food, coffee shops, parks, museums, shopping.... What more can one ask for.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home.

This home was beautiful, well-appointed, and CLEAN. The bedding was comfortable, lots of amenities, and the location was good. Having our own parking space behind the house was great, but it was a bit far from the entrance especially when lugging all of our stuff. We were able to park for a few minutes in front to get our stuff in, but moving out was a bit inconvenient. Fortunately, the weather was great. That being said, would we stay here again — a resounding YES!

We enjoyed staying at Rutledge Avenue Inn during our trip to Charleston. The off street parking was convenient. Our host was an excellent communicator and got us a new coffee pot in less than hour when the one in the unit did not work. The property was charming and most sites were within walking distance.
