Exclusive, safe, quiet island living Charleston!

Spacious, bright, (with blackout shades),inviting island apartment available with king bed, pull out luxury queen mattress with an air topper that plugs in. The apartment is nestled in a safe private island with walking paths everywhere & close proximity to all points of interest. There is a ferry to downtown which is a 10 minute walk away, walking paths everywhere, Uber easily or drive anywhere, this is truly a wonderful vacation spot. Access to three private community pools within 5 minute walking distance that have splash park & baby pools. An air mattress & pack & play are also available on request.
The space
This is a private island, Daniel Island, a vacation spot just minutes away from beaches, 15 minutes to airport and city of Charleston. Downtown is between 20 and 35 minutes by car depending on traffic. 20 car minutes to Patriots Point. 20 minutes car to Isle of Palms, 20 minutes to Sullivan's Island. Instead of driving you can take the ferry to Downtown Charleston daily with drinks and a view of the harbor. Can't beat it here. On street free, very available parking. No issues finding a spot right in front of the house.

We enjoyed our stay! The rain kept us from doing somethings we had planned! The room was nice and clean. The only thing missed was bathroom trash and a couple wash clothes to wash with! My 9 year old son enjoyed his bike rides around the neighborhood, and fell in love with the little black kitty that visited us on our porch everyday! We are animal lovers so we all happily enjoyed the visits!

Lovely stay, very clean, hosts were very nice & accommodating. We had everything we needed to cook full meals. It was also nice to have washer & dryer on site. This little apartment was so cute and charming. The neighborhood was so nice and family friendly. I loved that you can drive to the restaurants and just walk all around to shops and stadium. Was a great stay!

It is a nice and quiet neighborhood, has a lot of parks to walk and enjoy the evening, the place is very nice and clean, definitely recommended.

Apartment was immaculately clean and the bed and most furnishings appeared to be new and in excellent condition.Air conditioning was able to cool the space properly desoite extreme heat and humidity.Towels and linens furnished were in very good condition and clean. However there was no real eating space; two stools against a narrow shelf in the kitchen was not adequate. The sofabed appeared to be a little older although in good repair and in or der to turn off the light above it one had to either stand on it and stretch up(challenging for a short person or get out of bed and go to the switch by the door.A bedside lamp would have been helpful. Kitchen appliances were clean and new and in working condition. Washing machine was in proper working order,while the dryer needed intervention by host.

Quick stay

Nice little apartment on Daniel Island. Great for a family with kids because there are lots of activities within walking distance. Drive to Charleston isnt too bad and the neighborhood is really quiet.

Two day get away

Wife and I stayed two nights to sight see and attend a concert at Capitol one stadium. Perfect location, friendly hosts, and very clean comfortable apartment. Thanks!

Eating alive, mosquitoes

As soon as we walked in the door and shut the door, put our bags down, and immediately the mosquitoes began eating us. There were multiple mosquitoes throughout the house some were dead on the floor, while others were dead on the countertops. Meanwhile, my daughter and I Got eaten alive by them. When we walked in, it was still pretty warm as though somebody had just been there shortly before and turned the air on. The mirrors were super dirty and dusty a friend of mine that is a realtor on the island brought over some cleaner to clean them. When she walked in with her daughter to help clean the mirrors, they started getting bit too. So we left. By the way, we looked at the bed which was pretty saggy and lumpy. I looked for coffee and found Folgers. I ended up having to make reservations at a local hotel on Daniel Island. I was not going to suffer in a very uncomfortable Airbnb.

Daniel Island VRBO

The property was very clean with a nice decor. Daniel Island was a great location, seemed central to downtown Charleston as well as other outlying islands. I would say the property description was a little misleading. This is definitely a studio apt, not a 1 bedroom. That being said there was plenty of room, it was just all in one large room other than the small kitchenette.

Great Neighborhood- kid friendly

Nice place. Clean. Is a little deceiving that it says one bedroom and pictures make it look like so but it is living room/bedroom all one big open room. Good kitchen, however small things like hand towel and measuring cups would make it easier to use. Lots of steps to get up to apartment, my husband slipped and fell down them early morning with wet weather. Broke his ankle.

Owner cancelled

We were on our way to Charleston when the owner reached out to tell us that we could not stay the first night at the apartment due to tile work being done??? We were refunded one nights stay. We rented a hotel room for the first night, and were told we could check in on Saturday morning. I reached out Saturday morning to see what time we could check in and the owner said we could come on over so we packed our car again and were in the hotel parking lot when the owner text again and said she would have to cancel the whole weekend because of a leak in the bathroom. The owner did refund the whole weekend and I understand that some thing are out of our control, however, my husband and I had rented the apartment well in advance to celebrate our anniversary, we had planned to stay 4 nights, over 3 hours away from home, and now we have no where to stay. The reason I rented from VRBO was so we would not have to stay in a hotel...We did find a nice place to stay after searching most of Saturday to find it, but it all worked out and we enjoyed our time together. I don't think I would ever consider staying at this place in the future, Please ignore the scores on the questions listed above!. The way the review is set up you HAVE to answer. Maybe there should be other choices on the questionnaire. I hope others have a better experience than we did. I learned a lot from this experience and I hope the owner did too. Best wishes.

Beach trip

The listing was a little deceptive in that it showed a pic of a dock over water so we thought it was directly on the river. Also, it advertised a one bedroom and it was really a studio. That being said, the unit was not what we expected, but was delightful! Bright, airy and clean. The neighborhood was safe and very walkable. Trails lead to the estuary where we saw wildlife like jumping fish, wading birds and 'gators, yikes! It was a little far from the beach, but hey it was vacation, so 20 minutes wasn't THAT far. The owner responsive and available by text. Overall a good stay.

Perfect for a couple who doesn’t want to stay in Charleston. Very clean. Kitchen small but works. It could have used a toaster oven due to no oven available. Very safe quiet neighborhood. Great experience.

Beautiful Studio Apartment

This studio apartment was so beautiful. It was perfect for my best friend and I to stay for the long weekend. It was close to everything and in a very nice area. The check in and out process was super easy. The bed was very comfortable and the layout was nice and open. I would highly recommend this apartment. My friend and I even were saying we would stay there if we had stayed a week. If I need a place in this area, I would definitely love to stay here again.
