Perfect location and friendly welcome

Very friendly welcome. My room was clean and tidy, simple and good value in a fantastic location in the old town. Close to the harbour, shops, restaurants - including a fantastic vegan restaurant at the bottom of the road. I’ve been offered flexibility in the check out (I guess still out of main season) so it’s been perfect for me as a solo traveller.

I rented a room for the night on my journey back to the UK. The host is very helpful and friendly, and helped with my arrival times. The Smaragdi Rooms are in a great location in the old city, close to the port, the shopping centre, a great bakery almost opposite and a really good vegan restaurant at the bottom of the road. Lively during the day but quiet at nighttime. The room is basic but had everything I needed, comfy bed, shower, kettle, coffee filter.

Enjoyable stay in Xania old port

My wife and I stayed at Smaragdi Rooms for two nights in early September 2014. We loved the location - right in the heart of Xania's old port. The owner, Georgia, was super friendly and very nice to us. The room was spacious and pleasant. The price was reasonable. I would stay at Smaragdi again next time I go to Xania.

Our stay was ok, the property is right in the old town, property has some stairs. Rooms are slightly small and the shower cubicle is very small. However we had a pleasant stay. If you are a light sleeper avoid as the shops and restaurants stay open right and you would hear people talking right under the window. The owners are nice and helpful.

Φοβερή τοποθεσία. Το στρώμα στο κρεβάτι μαλακό (αλλά άνετο). Θα χρειαζόταν μια αναβάθμιση σε διπλό τζάμι στο παράθυρο του δρόμου και κάποιο ραφακι /κρεμάστρα στο μπάνιο. Κατά τα άλλα ήταν πολύ καλή η διαμονή καθώς και η επικοινωνία με την ιδιοκτήτρια / διαχειριστρια

Nous sommes ravis d'avoir passé notre sejour dans cette chambre decorée avec goût, situee au 2eme etage. Un petit balcon charmant avec vue sur la rue et très proche du port. Nous aurions aimé y passer plus qu'une nuit. Un tout petit bémol sur le pommeau de doucje peu pratique mais à refaire avec plaisir. Explications très claires reçues sur les directions a prendre pour arriver a l'appartement. Merci 😃

Σε πολυ καλη περιοχη ως θεση.Σχετικα ευκολο παρκιν αν γυριζες μεχρι τις 5-6 η ωρα.Ηταν καθαρο, αλλα το δωματιο χωρις ανεσεις και πολυ μικρο.

The location is just the best, its right in the heart of the old port. The owner are very kind and welcoming. I had my concerns reading some reviews, what i have to say to everyone is that you get exactly what you see so i assume those who complain didn't even look what the booked. If you are looking to visit Chania this is the best place if you are looking for reasonable price and location.
