The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff very helpful and breakfast was good quality. My mian proble is with the room layout that is weird and has its problems like the bathroom light that is a motion sensor and is very prone to shutting down.

Phos hotel was an absolute dream. Staff were helpful & accommodating, the property & rooms=12/10 & the breakfast was fantastic. The perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet, clean, chic place to stay between Platanias & Agia Marina. Our stay was exceptional and would absolutely return.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was wonderful and so was the room. We were upgraded to a swim up room. It was a bit cool still in Crete but we enjoyed it as much as possible. Breakfast was perfect and the hostess and all the staff made our stay very pleasant! We would love to come back!

The staff were extremely professional and helpful. Always with a smile and went out of their way to ensure you had a good stay. The rooms, pool, breakfast areas are spotlessly clean with excellent accommodating cleaners. Everything within easy walking distance. A really lovely vacation.

Beautiful couples getaway

A lovely 4 day break. We wish we had have booked longer. We stayed in a room with a shared private pool. Pool is cleaned daily, a little cold but you soon get used to it. You share with 3 other couples. Staff can’t do enough to help you. They’re all so friendly. Breakfast is so fresh and always updated. The bar menu, is also lovely. The food is cooked fresh to order and tastes great. Only downside is the food closes a little early and it’s so good they would be a great restaurant option. Cleaners come everyday and the hi-tech kit allows you to put a digital DND sign on. We would 100% go back!!!

We had the most incredible time at Phos Hotel! Me and my best friend booked Phos Hotel for our yearly girls’ holiday and we were just blown away by the service, cleanliness and friendliness here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured - it’s really peaceful and relaxing as it’s not a huge hotel which we prefer. The staff were incredible and always went above and beyond for us! Maria and Petros were both fantastic, so kind and helpful, printing off the bus timetable, booking excursions and giving us recommendations of places to go! Akis on the bar and the security guy were all so friendly and made us feel so welcome and safe! Our room was spotless (and continued to be, housekeeping was fantastic!), we had a view over the pool, which was glorious to wake up to every day. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety, and again the staff were super friendly and took good care of us. The location was perfect for us as we wanted easy access to the beach, but also the ability to be able to get into Chania easily by public transport! Chania is a €2 20 minute bus journey away, so super easy and cheap to get to! We also went to Rethymno which was just over an hour away by bus and only about €7 (you have to go to Chania first and get the bus from there!). We just had the most amazing time here, wish we could come back already!! Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at Phos and had an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was top-tier—the entire team was attentive, welcoming, and truly dedicated to making sure my stay was perfect. Everything about the property was excellent: Accommodations: The rooms were beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Dining: I was thoroughly impressed with both breakfast and lunch. The quality and variety were outstanding, making every meal a highlight of the day. Housekeeping: A special shout-out to the housekeeping team. The attention to detail and level of cleanliness throughout my stay was impeccable. I cannot recommend Phos highly enough for anyone looking for a seamless, high-quality hotel experience. I look forward to my next visit!

The cleaning staff kept the hallways and rooms spotless. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast buffet had great options. Our bartender made the most delicious drinks. The hotel is perfectly located and just 5 minutes walk from restaurants, stores and the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

We have had an amazing experience in Phos Hotel. Great service, people at the hotel were always smiley and willing to help you. Breakfast was great and there is option to also have a drink or eat at the bar of the main pool. The swim up hotel room was TOP. Silent, clean, great pool… I would have never left. We 200% recommend this hotel! Additionally there are many restaurants in the area at walkable distance so no need to take the care every day to go out for dinner, unless you want to go to Chania.

AVOID - Way too expensive for what you get. The hotel looks beautiful, but the pros stop there. The biggest issue is the pool. Despite, advertising a 1:1 sunbed-to-guest ratio, there are nowhere near enough sunbeds. There are signs everywhere saying not to reserve them with belongings, yet staff refuse to enforce the rule—even when the issue is brought to their attention. We stayed five days and only managed to use the pool once. When we finally got a sunbed because another couple kindly gave us theirs, staff immediately confronted us for having a coffee purchased outside the hotel. Apparently outside food and drinks are forbidden, despite there being no signage or communication about this rule. The hotel coffee is terrible. The rooms look nice but are poorly designed: no mirror above the bathroom sink, no soundproofing, and almost nowhere to store belongings. It feels like money was spent making everything look luxurious rather than making it functional. What was most disappointing, however, was the attitude of the staff. Any concern we raised was met with indifference, and we constantly felt like we were being watched for the next thing we might be doing wrong. Don’t park here. Don’t bring food/drinks in. Don’t take the pool towels out. Don’t do this/that. It was exhausting. For these prices, I expect hospitality—not to feel like an inconvenience. Save your money and stay somewhere else. There are plenty of beautiful hotels where you can actually feel like a guest.
