Good spot if you are on a budget. The rooms are a bit oudated but the bathroom is renovated. It is well located not too far from the kalamaki beach but i think could be a bit risky at night to walk back because it is dark and road is narrow cars arrive fast. Close to the little beach town and cute restaurants by the beach. We had a balcony with sea view. The pool is nice and clean. It said the bar and restaurant was open pretty much all day but we saw it open a few minutes one day over 3 spent there. Still verry good place, not pricey and nice but outdated.

Room was clean and comfortable, beautiful pool, definitely need a car if you stay here as it is out of the way from everything. Did have issues with appliances not working which i informed hotel staff and nothing was done and kitchen doesn’t have many appliances i.e toaster or microwave. Balcony door lock was also tricky and hard to get locked. Overall stay was fine

Very nice stay! Recommend!

Strongly recommend hotel Balito! The owners are really nice and welcoming. We asked a lot about recommendations on what to do in Chania and some help with taxi and our car that we rented, and they were really helpful! The hotel is not so far from the beach, and parking with car is good outside the hotel. I really loved the vibe of the hotel! It’s very welcoming, but also very calm and informal. If I ever come back to Chania I will 100% stay here again!

We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast and coffee is perfect in the morning. The rooms were good for our large family (we had two rooms with 3 beds each) and the area is very walkable. It’s about a 14 min walk to the beach (with my slower children) and a 10 min taxi into Chania. There is also a bus to take you to town and some of the other beaches that stops nearby but we didn’t do it because of elders in our group. There is a taverna around the corner that was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again if we return to Crete.

The property is very clean , rooms are big , but need to be updated specially in the kitchen . People rent this place like me for a week and need a better dining stuff like a better electric stove and frying pan and pots . Barely some utensils! This is a must in an apartment for rent . The bed is to hard and the mattress was yellow and not good . Tv channels are only antena and only locals not cable or satellite . Is you are not Greek , sorry you will be without news , sport or any tv entertainment .! Tha goods are the workers , they are nice , very polite and the sea view from some rooms are beautiful. Bathroom are big an and clean . Pool is ok but dangerous for kid , is deep . Bar is good , drinks are expensive and not many avaible . Location is great if you have a car. But you can go walking to the beach in 900 mts . Some restaurants by the beach with good prices . Overall my rating is excellent for the property because workers are great but this place with some improvements in the kitchen and better prices in the pool bar will be a place like not many !

Me and my uncle stayed 2 weeks at Balito Apartments and it was wonderful! The staff were really friendly and helpful. We got amazing recommendatiations from the staff to go to the beach and find good restaurants. We arrived at night and everything were arranged so that it was easy to come at night time too when everyone was sleeping. Rooms were good and cleaned, nothing special, but it had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and clean. Very peaceful place and on good location, not so far away. You can easily go down to the beach. I really recommend this place. Everything was good and the staff was just so amazing, it felt like home. Definitely going again!

How anyone could not like this is beyond me. Unless you are actually looking for loud music and foam parties, this is great, a reasonably priced relatively modern property in a great location with its own bar serving food and drink and its own swimming pool, with fabulous sea views on a bus route, yards from a traditional village with its own restaurants, bakery, coffee kiosk. Supermarkets are just short stroll away. George is a very accommodating host easy to get on with and very helpful and informative.

Good but can improve

Pros: Excellent location, close to Chania town and many markets close by. Nice size swimming pool, good size apartment with a small kitchenette. Price is reasonable for what you get. Cons: Overall cleanliness can be improved, one of the matresses was very uncomfortable, I booked a Seaview Apartment, we did get a seaview but on a lower floor, our view was blocked by trees. Overall happy with my experience but would wanna try somewhere else next time.

Best last-minute Getaway vacation❤️

In addition to the comfortable rooms and friendly staff, we also enjoyed the great amenities at Hotel Balitol, including a nice kids' pool and an adult pool. The hotel's location was perfect, with the beach just a short walk away and a bus station right next to the hotel. It was convenient to have Chania city center only about 5km away, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy the local attractions. We also want to mention the lovely owner of Hotel Balitol, who made our stay even more special. Their warm hospitality and personal touch added to the overall charm of the hotel. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We truly appreciated their kindness and attention to detail. Thank you to the owner and the entire staff at Hotel Balitol for a fantastic week. We hope to visit again soon!❤️

Great property. Apartments very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful sea view on 2nd floor. Kitchenette basic but adequate for cooking breakfast. Good shower in bathroom. Lovely pool. There is a pool bar. George the owner and his family and staff were very friendly and gave lots of information about Crete. It is about a 12 minute walk down the hill to the nearest beach Kalamaki. We didn't like this beach as it was by a busy road so we carried on walking another 20 mins to Apostoli beach which is fabulous with a great beach bar. Completely recommend this accommodation but bear in mind the distance to beaches, if you don't like to walk far you need to hire a car. Or there is a bus stop right outside the apartment you could use.

Un très joli petit hôtel familial avec un personnel toujours très sympathique ! Il se situe sur les hauteurs du petit village, non loin du bord de mer. L’accès à la Canée se fait rapidement également bien que parfois un peu encombré selon l’heure. Nous avons apprécié pouvoir revenir au calme en fin de journée. L’espace piscine avec son petit bar/snack est parfait ! Il y a même un petit bassin pour les plus petits ou juste pour se détendre. Nous avons même passé une journée complète au bord de la piscine avec les enfants ce qui n’était pas forcément prévu. Les chambres sont climatisées, très propres et possèdent une petite kitchenette pratique. Nous avons passé un super séjour dans l’hôtel :)

Super fin och mysig boende i Chania, Kreta. Gångavstånd till flera stränder om man gillar att promenera annars går en buss utanför hotellet som tar dig både till andra stränder på bara några minuter och till Chania centrum på ca 15-20 min. Vi blev varmt bemöta vid ankomst trots att vi kom fram sent på kvällen. Rummen var rena och rymliga, AC fungerade utmärkt, städpersonalen städar varje dag. Maria, som sköter poolbaren/restaurangen (09.00- 17.00) var så trevlig, positiv och välkommande, hennes servicen var 10 av 10. Det finns flera restauranger i närheten. Circa 5 minuter till höger om boendet ligger Taverna Elia, med otroligt god mat och trevlig personal. Vi är jätte nöjda och rekommenderar verkligen denna boende.
