We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. We’re had visited Crete and we stayed at the village homes Alkistis, is 20 minutes from the Airport and very well known, soon we had arrived at our destination with a large group of people! We supposed to be checking in by 4pm but we were 2 hours early , the lady who is the owner Called Vaia has kingly let us to went to our rented house immediately! Very organised and cleaned , couple of Grocery shops and the beach is 15 minutes walking distance ! Dilma Uk

Good property but can improve

No formal check in, just show up and that’s it. Communication was a bit confusing at first due to language barrier. Looks like property is shared amongst other adjacent homes with longer term tenants and pool is preferred to be used during time slots to not disturb others. Mind you, I had 4 kids with me. Overall experience was good but could have been great!
