"We liked the property and had a great nights sleep in The Star Wars room (No 17) great IF you are a fan! Very clean and comfortable with lovely bathroom. It was a very hot night but there was a good fan in the bedroom.Unfortunately unknown to us it was a Saturday and a Saints day ( frequent in France) so bar and bistro were closed ( as was everything else in the village)and we had to check ourselves in. Thanks to google we drove out and found a nice little place to eat and drink. Breakfast was a lovely continental one and we met our host who was extremely pleasant. Good value and great for an overnight stay."

Restored barn from late 18th century with pool

"Great villa in secluded location within easy reach of supermarkets, restaurants etc. The main living area is superb, an enormous room (converted barn) with huge sofas, a massive tv, dining area and very well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms all comfortable - three upstairs with en-suites, 3 downstairs with one en-suite that can also be accessed by a 2nd door. Also a separate downstairs cloakroom. Utility room has 2nd sink, washing machine and dryer. Good WiFi coverage throughout. Outside space is lovely, plenty of seating in sun and shade, and of course a great swimming pool.We had one or two issues with the plumbing during our stay (no-one’s fault), plus a power cut for a few hours but Benoit was easily contactable and did his best to resolve the situation. Would highly recommend!"

"Great house for families, we met Thomas briefly after check in. He generously provided a welcome basket and extra tractors for 2 year old to play with. Well equipped house with lots of space. Good for peaceful countryside holidaying, large garden and many games and activities. Nearby river canoeing from Ruffec. Certain aspects need a little tlc but you will have a great time here"

"This is essentially a commercial hotel attached to a transport restaurant. Five star luxury it is not but my wife and I loved it. The room was clean, well decorated and stylish. The shower worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife felt a little out of place amongst all the lorry drivers but they were all very nice and one very large one carried both of my suitcase up stairs for me. Wonderful when you are 80. Breakfast was served outside. It was lovely. It is in a small, very French, town and the parking is easy. 24 hr access with a door code. Nothing to complain about at all."

"Amazing Location, everything you need is close by, the house and garden are beautiful, and we could not praise the hosts enough, they really went out of their way to make sure we were ok and were very helpful. We will definitely be back, thank you Jo and Jamshid"
