Chalet Allières is located in Chamonix in the hamlet of Argentière, in the unspoiled and peaceful area of La Rosière, a 4-minute drive from shops (25 minutes on foot through the forest along the Arve River), a 7-minute walk from the Grands Montets cable car (which provides access to magnificent walks, particularly towards the Argentière glacier) and a quarter of an hour from Chamonix town center (regular bus service (line 2) 300 m away). Several lovely walks can be taken from the chalet.
Facing south-southwest, the chalet enjoys sunshine throughout the day and views of the Mont Blanc massif (Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc, and Dôme du Goûter), particularly from its terrace, garden (1,000 m²), and balcony. On the north side is the entrance and a parking lot with space for three cars.
Built in 1990 and renovated in 2022 in a classic mountain style influenced by 1960s architecture, the chalet can comfortably accommodate ten people—ideally two families of five—thanks to two very independent en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor (each on either side of the chalet, with a bathroom (one with a bathtub) and toilet) and three bedrooms upstairs (where there are two bathrooms and a toilet). An entrance hall, cloakroom, and fourth guest toilet complete the ground floor.
The kitchen opens onto the dining room and living room and offers all modern amenities (exhaust hood with external extractor fan, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, microwave, gas stove). The kitchen opens to the west onto a south-facing shaded terrace. The dining room table seats eight people, or ten with its extension.
The chalet is equipped with Wi-Fi and a TV (to be supplied with images from a PC), as well as a washing machine (silent) and a clothes horse located in one of the three bedrooms upstairs.
