"First impressions are everything. We were greeted at the door by a hotel employee who welcomed us and held the door. We were too early for check-in, which I knew coming in, but the staff securely stored our bags while we ventured out for lunch. Our room was clean and ready when we returned. The size of the room is much larger than the average hotel. Our room also had a full kitchen and a large bathroom. Everything was spotless! The beds are comfortable, the AC worked, and there were plenty of outlets for charging our devices. We ventured out each morning to explore DC and when we returned, our room was spotless once again. I feel like we were close to lots of DC attractions, and walkability was important on this trip as we flew and did not rent a car. We easily got an Uber when needed. I was 100 percent recommend the State Plaza, and when I visit again, I will rebook."
