My boyfriend and I were traveling in Sicily spontaneously, so we usually booked the hotel on the day of arrival. The hotels in Catania are not cheap, B&B usually doesn't have a front desk. Umberto House is the only one we find with 24 hour front desk at a reasonable price. The boutique hotel is newly renovated, the high ceiling and the ambience were great. The floor is 150 years old yet very clean. The duvet were very soft and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was a little parking garage 20 meters away where we left our car for two nights. The alleys around the hotel have many restaurants that open late. Highly recommended!
Staff were very helpful, small hotel, everything was well maintained and very clean. Great location.

My stay in Catania, Sicily, IT
I was surprised that the location was right in the center of the city. It was quite the ordeal to find the location in my rental that I had obtained at the airport. I liked the hotel, however, my room had a chain hanging from the ceiling that may have had a chandelier with wires protruding from the ceiling into the chain. The staff was great especially the woman that had checked me in. I had a tough time with parking as there was no parking on the street. As a result, I had to pay 15 Euro per night to park in a lot around the corner.
