Excellent hotel with great staff and very conveniently located near the central part of the city. Close to most sightseeing places. I would recommend it to tourists as well as to those who for work need to be in a central location. I would definitely use it again!

The hotel staff were outstanding from start to finish. They handled every question I had with professionalism and clarity, and their calm, courteous manner never faltered, even during busy periods. Absolutely stunning location! It was an easy walk to the cable car and a great way to see Isola Bella. There were a few random hairs on the bed when we checked in but it was otherwise spotless. The breakfast was excellent and the rooftop pool was gorgeous!

Acceptable hotel if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep in the city center. Almost all Catania attractions are within walking distance and the hotel building is beautiful and in relatively good condition. That being said, breakfast was very limited especially if you wanted something savory (just 2 types of ham and 1 type of cheese, the same every day - otherwise they had 4 or 5 different types of croissant...). The worst part was the level of cleanliness though - the shower cabin had a significant amount of mold, and during our 6 night stay they never changed our bedsheets (which were stained to begin with) or vacuumed - actually they most likely didn't vacuum between guests either because there were a ton of dust bunnies on the floor and our socks would get full of dust after a walk from the bed to the bathroom. It's really a shame because this place could be so much nicer with a little more effort, but the current conditions really don't justify it being 4 stars.
