Wenig geschlafen aber Schokokuchen zum Frühstück

Der Check-in war sehr angenehm bei einer auch noch um 2 Uhr nachts sehr freundlichen Empfangskraft, die perfekt Englisch sprach. Das Zimmer und die Betten (6-Bett-Zimmer) war sehr schön. Leider war die Nacht sehr unruhig, da draußen auf den Straßen ein Festival stattfand. Badezimmer waren etwas schmuddelig, aber das kenne ich aus Hostels nicht anders. Das Frühstück war ein netter Bonus, das bekommt man nicht überall (und mit Schokokuchen schon gar nicht, der ist hier einmalig). Check-out war auch angenehm und einfach, auch wenn das Morgen-Personal kaum Englisch sprach.

This elephant offers an enjoyable ride

Some confusion at first about my booking. (I'd changed from a longer stay, which I'd canceled, to two short bookings.) But once that was understood, the owner was very nice to me. She remembered my name for several days and always said, "Ciao." The ceilings are beautiful with plenty of space in the shared dorm. Breakfast is good, especially when they offer fresh fruit. Bathrooms and showers are old but clean, with plenty of hot water. GREAT location in Catania and great common room with extra bar upstairs that has a beautiful view.

Nice central hostel with great staff!

During my stay here in June I had only booked one night before arriving at the hostel. Upon arrival I was given all the information about the hostel and of the surrouding area by the girl at the desk. For the first night I checked into a 4 bed dorm that was absolutely huge and cost me next to nothing for the stay. The rooms at the hostel (I think there was 4 in total - ranging between 4 bed and 10 bed dorms) did not have locks on the doors. Each of the rooms had more than enough lockers for each person and although the lockers didn't feel overly secure there was absolutely no issues with security during my stay there. After my first night's stay I had not booked a second night however did want to stay the second night and although online the hostel appeared to be booked out the people that were working on the reception desk kept me informed throughout the day and managed to put me up in the 10 bed dorm for my second night. Somebody was available at reception 24 hours a day which was great. The hostel had laundry facilities and a nice rooftop with a good view of Mount Etna as well as the local area. Overall I was very pleased with this hostel.
