We really enjoyed our stay at Il Leone Blu. The location was excellent, the room was comfortable, and the service was warm and welcoming. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower cabin could be a bit bigger, and the breakfast could offer more variety. Overall, it was a very good experience and we would recommend it.

What a gem. The room was comfortable and easy to locate. Manuela, our host, was wonderful to communicate with and was very helpful! Breakfast was simple but welcome each morning. I appreciated the amenities in the common space. Close to all attractions!

An excellent B&B with amazing staff. Everything you need for a city break and a delicious breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Great area surrounded by great bars and restaurants.

This was a gem of a stay! Although it is a small and intimate space, our room was large and beautiful, with great attention to detail, and a family-style breakfast table. Manuela & Dario, and their on-site colleague, were an absolute delight.

Once at the property, I could walk everywhere. I only needed taxis to/from the airport. great location! Staff was very friendly, they let me check in early. Breakfast was tasty and the place is quiet. Bathroom was nice. All in all, great experience.

This property is lovely and the location can’t be beat for exploring Catania. It is just a few steps from Ursino castle and a couple of blocks from the amazing fish market. The room is spacious and beautiful. But what made it truly exceptional was the amazing care and hospitality of our host, Manuela. My daughter arrived before me and she looked out for her and really helped with check in and communication throughout. Highly highly recommended!

Host was so friendly and gave us many recommendations on what to do for our stay in Catania. We arrived before check in and asked to store our luggage until check in. To our surprise she got the room ready and we were able to check in early. They had breakfast every morning and coffee and water available in the lobby 24/7 which was great. The rooms were spacious and airy and very clean. I would stay here again.

Very nice room! Great location, the block looks a little sketchy but it’s totally safe and really convenient to serious touristy areas. We didn’t get to have breakfast because of an early flight, but highly recommend!

Perfect accommodation, everything clean, fragrant and comfortable. The lady was very nice and helpful, she allowed us to stay earlier, which we very much appreciated with the children. During the day, you can make coffee or tea and have a small breakfast when you leave early. Amazing for us. thank you! Great restaurant st. Antonio nearby.

Gorgeous rooms in older building. Spacious, well appointed, beds and bath very comfortable. Fabulous high painted and decorated ceilings. Good breakfast and helpful staff. The entry way is older and plain but delight ensues as soon as you open the door to the second floor. Very helpful getting a cab for early morning flight.

Location is good, with some great restaurants and bars close by. Manuela was very friendly and helpful, and the check in was straight forward. Room 4 however, is tiny, cramped, airless and gloomy. It had no space and a small window. Definitely not like the room photos which prompted us to book.

Beautiful stay in Catania!

Il Leone Blue is an amazing place to stay for a visit in Catania. The rooms are really clean and newly renovated. AC works great (and in summer is a must!). Manuela has been nice and very communicative, she got us great indications where to have dinner and explore. Catania downtown is an amazing city, beautiful and lively. Of course you have to consider that you are in an historical downtown, walking distance from everything so the parking is always sketchy and the buildings have narrow stairs you have to use to got in and out but that is also part of the experience! Definitely recommend to spend time here at "Il Leone Blue"!

Charming hidden gem in Catania

We loved our very comfortable and clean accommodations. The painted ceiling and the three balconies added such charm. Room is spacious and the bedding very comfortable. The arrival from the street was a bit rough with some construction in the entry area and lots of stairs...first impression was a little rough, but once you get up the stairs you enter the most lovely common area and unit. Location was excellent...one of our best meal in Sicily was the meal right down the road at Ristorante da Antonio! Service was attentive and helpful with our arrival and departure information. Highly recommend!

Il Leone Blue is a beautiful, charming place, specious and very comfortable bed. We absolutely loved the decor, the stylish furniture, the art, the books on history of the place, even the appliances were very cool but the most amazing are tge ceilings. When you wake up and open your eyes, you truly feel like royalty, absolutely loved it!!! Also the place is located in a heart of Catania, we walked everywhere, lots of options for dining as well. The host, Manuela, is an excellent communicator, she even sent us a video how to open the door, which was very helpful, we were able to leave our luggage after check out and she even called us a taxi to take us to the airport. It was very good experience and I would highly recommend Il Leone Blue for a stay in Catania.

Poor service leads to disappointing stay

Disappointing in many respects. Check- in done by apps and phone- never met manager. Felt very impersonal. Breakfast was day before leftovers-poor selection, small amount and pastries stale. Website says airport shuttle costs€18 but hotel arranged taxi cost € 30 and my friend €40! Biggest issue was Hotels.com says pay at property but with no communication or forewarning, manager put hotel cost through on credit card used to reserve room. When I tried to have hotel charged to a different credit card, manager complained it would cost her and was too much trouble. Very poor service but room was large, clean and with windows shut, most of the noise from the bar below wasn’t heard.
