Hotel Eremo della Giubiliana

10/10 Excellent

"This place is awesome. We didn't expect to be spending two nights in a historic building with so much character. The meals were excellent and the staff was very helpful. Unfortunately we overlapped with a small bus tour that had the dining hall to themselves one evening, but dinner in the wine cellar was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel."

Hotel Villamare

8/10 Good

"This is a decent hotel. Its main advantages are access to the beach (about a two minute walk), great staff and on-site parking which we have discovered can not be taken for granted in Sicily. However the room we were in (Zeus) felt quite dated. It's an old hotel that would benefit from some love, especially since our 'comfort double room' was $250+/night. We expect a bit nicer accommodations at that price."

Hotel Porta Reale

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent location on the Main Street in Noto. Beautiful and clean room. Breakfast excellent choice. Staff very helpful especially with parking. Would have liked tea and coffee in room and also air conditioning difficult to control."

Relais Antica Badia - San Maurizio 1619

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were amazing in helping us with recommendations and the breakfast crew were super hospitable."

Albatros Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Le personnel très courtois. Très bien situé."

Villa Fanusa

10/10 Excellent

"Clean room. Wonderful and helpful staff. Great breakfast."

San Giorgio Palace Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel was beautiful. Everything about it was five-star. We were greeted by the desk clerk who arranged for our luggage to be brought up. The rooms were great and access to Regusa Ilba was easy-breezy. 2 minute walk into the main square. Breakfast was very nice and the outdoor patio was very nice as well. We would highly recommend this hotel and Ragusa Ilba."

Modica Beach Resort

8/10 Good

"clean, comfortable and spacious room, nice terrace with sea view. The beach was well-maintained and the service at the bar was excellent. However, there could be more food options (only a cold sandwich) and the nearest restroom is quite far from the beach. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was quite extensive but the food quality was rather average. Overall, a very pleasant stay and good value for the price."

Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa I Monasteri Golf & Spa

8/10 Good

"Beautiful restored Monastery with exquisite grounds. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with a lovely terrace . Staff are exceptional!"

When is the best time to go to Castelluccio?

The best time to visit Castelluccio is from late May to early July, to witness the spectacular "Fioritura" or flowering season.During these months, the Castelluccio Plain transforms into a vast canvas of colours as various wildflowers bloom. The exact peak of the bloom varies slightly each year depending on weather conditions, but late June is often the most reliable time to catch the full display. This period is particularly ideal for nature lovers and photographers. The gentle rolling hills of the plain, set against the backdrop of the Sibilline Mountains, offer countless opportunities for scenic walks and capturing stunning images. The cooler temperatures of late spring and early summer also make outdoor exploration more comfortable than in the hotter peak summer months.Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the blooming plains incredibly picturesque.
