"Booked this for my husband’s birthday. Everything was better than we hoped for. Welcome
Gift and cake for his birthday waiting in our room when we arrived. Exceptional service at the desk and everywhere else. Great golf on our last day. Thank you for making our weekend so special. "
"This is my favourite place to stay in Cascais. It’s a beautiful property (both inside and out) with an excellent restaurant on site. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend:)"
"Friendly staff, quiet area, adjacent to golf course. Recent renumbering of the course meant that tee #1 was no longer adjacent to he hotel. The driving range was a short walk but the clubhouse and first tee were better accessed by car if carrying clubs."
"Quiet, peaceful a great place to relax. A walk on the beach takes you to shopping and other places to eat.
Our meal at Farol was excellent and as another bonus is breakfast each morning served with the view of the ocean."

"What an incredible experience!
Built in the 1940s (I believe) on a 17th century fort on a windblown beach in a national park? Yes please! The natural beauty alone is worth staying here. But the use of stone and wood and natural elements was superb.
I saw some reviews complain about the age of the place. Well my room and the whole wing appears quite new. Decor is simple and comfortable and more than spacious enough for Americans. My room (#50) had a huge patio with views of both the dunes and the beach!
Housekeeping works hard here! Keeping the sand out when it blows in the air and folks track it in must be impossible but I walked barefoot in my room with no grit.
The best part was the service. They let me put my luggage in early and after I checked out so I could walk the beach. They even walked me to my room. Very helpful despite language barriers- MINE, my Portugese is non existent. Hands signals and smiles and patience fixed that.
If you need a day or two of quiet after a busy city like Lisbon I highly recommend this local beach off the beaten track"
