Wonderful staff. The owners are very nice. They helped me with a problem I had with my expedia booking. They arranged a cab driver for my outings. The cab driver was so friendly and patient, felt like family. I highly recommend this hotel.

Probably the nicest hostel I've stayed in for years. The breakfast was genuinely fantastic. Definitely the best I've ever had at a hostel and I would have been more than satisfied with it even if it were at an expensive hotel. The dorms are nice and quiet/private too. The only bad thing is the location (there's nothing really around the hostel), but there's a tram line into the more interesting parts of the city just a few minutes away. Everything was lovely and clean too. I will also say that the automatic light outside the dormitory is annoying at night too. Perhaps the window above the doorway could be painted to stop the light coming in every time somebody walks past? p.s. if you don't like cats, you probably shouldn't stay here, but if you do like cats, it's the place for you!

I don’t recommend this hostel if you need flexible accommodations. They DONT allow for early checkout at all. Really disappointing because it really impacted our stay.

Comfort in Casablanca
Convenient location for flight out of CMN in the morning. Free off-street parking was wonderful. Amazing breakfast. Beautiful grounds. Really nice place!

Great safe location. Super friendly staff and the cats made it all the more lovely. The building itself is an Instagram dream, both inside and outside. All of the colours were perfect, especially on a warm day. The problem experienced was that the reviews were so high that the expectation was set high. I came to the room and it was designed beautifully but the ground floor meant that occasionally people knocked on our door thinking we were staff rooms. Or that the cats would fight each other right under our window. The biggest concern I had was that the taps were sticky with some sort of residue that'd seemingly been there for years. The air conditioning couldn't turn on and I think it's because of a faulty remote control. The breakfast was ok too but I'd hoped more of the food was protected from the flies landing on them. I'd also hoped that there was a plant based alternative to milk as it seemed like the type of place that had it. I'm absolutely splitting hairs here but, as mentioned, the expectation was significantly higher. That said, I'd love to visit again and try another room.

Hello Ehab, thanks for your very detailed review. Happy to read that "the building itself is an instagram dream". I understand that your expectations are vey high. And we are not perfect...yet ! Sorry if some guests knocked your door thinking it was staff room. This is the first time it happens. We will be vigilant in the future to prevent this from happening again. Sorry for the cats fighting around, it happens from time to time. We are in a residential area and some villas have been left with their cats... As for the flies, there are no flies coming on the food. What you saw are bees. From the first heat, the bees go in search of food. Most likely you might see in moroccon bakeries and patisseries hundreds of bees attracted by the sugar. Fortunately only a few - between 10 and 20 - visit us at breakfast time these days. Very soon they will have migrated to other places. Taps: it looks like some grease has been applied on them. We removed it. Aircond is working well but obviously the remote is a little bit sophisticated and sometimes one can be confused with the on and off function. Thanks for your suggestion of plant based milk, we will see whether that can attract other guests. One more time thanks for your detailed review, it helps us improve our service.

Great spot close to the train station. The 2 bedroom suite on the third floor I booked for my wife and adult son was large, comfortable and clean. I would for sure stay there again if I find myself back in Casablanca.

Creme brulee, friendly cats, and an amazing staff!
European hospitality in a beautiful Moroccan riad! Not only is breakfast included in the price, with creme brulee, rice pudding, and three kinds of pancakes, those are just the beginning :p There are many cats that live inside and they are all docile; until they see (people) food that they cannot have, then they get excited and their fun personality comes out :D My only complaints are minor as one shower had a broken shower head holder, the bathroom floors are very slippery when wet, and my locker drawer (in the dorm) was difficult to slide in and out. Otherwise, the friendly staff and the ambiance of the whole place makes me want to come back again :)

A man from Senegal at the front was very nice.he gave me his food I able not able to go out get some food since I hurt my eyes and couldn't see well. plz tell him thank you again. very clean comfortable place with very nice breakfast made by French owner. id def.stay here if I go back to Casablanca!

The current owners Brigitte and Yves and overall staff is very helpful and nice. They have a good breakfast and the property overall is really unique. There is very good public transport near the property to go to all places in Casablanca. Kids enjoyed walking and exploring the city by public transport. Yves and Brigitte will help you throughout.

False information the beds that are packed
I did not stay, I checked in and I was showed around, everything I was supposed to share with 5 people, things like toilet, bathroom and there were small space with 5 beds and one bed was mine other 4 was already occupied. Just a open space no privacy at all. So I went to book another hotel. They must not allowed to keep my money because what they promised on website it’s not what I got

We are very surprised to read your review. You got exactly what you booked: a bed in a Dormitory. There is no confusion at all. The photo of the dormitory shows VERY CLEARLY, that it is a dorm and not an individual bedroom. The description shows what is delivered. Furthermore the price you got is very low -below 20 euros-, including breakfast!! And should you honestly describe what you saw, you would note that each bed in this dorm has a privacy curtain.

Lovely villa in central location
Great value for the stay on a family trip - beautiful villa with outstanding service by everyone there. Stayed one night but would absolutely consider for longer stays. Huge rooms with plenty of space to relax indoors and out.

Charming
L'Hostel is a great spot to rest and recharge. The grounds are beautiful and everything is super clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. Oh, and the breakfast is a real treat! My tip for fellow travelers: if you choose to walk around the area, use the pretty side streets instead of the main road.

I stayed here for one night before an early flight the next morning. Location is good, very close to the Oasis train station, which goes directly to the airport. I left as breakfast was being laid out, but it looked like there was a good selection.

I am very sorry that transportation wasn't arranged for you. As for the language we speak more english than french at LHOSTEL. We have to try to understand what led you to feel ignored by the staff. This shouldn't happen and we will work to avoid it in the future.

everything was excellent. staff (including the cats) were nice and friendly. bathroom and the beds were super clean. breakfast and garden were decent. although it's not close to the medina or tourist spots, close enough to the train and tram station. the only improvement could be the bed arrangement...overall is great!! highly recommended!!

Very pleasant ambiance. The room was very large and well decorated with Moroccan charm. The whole building is very clean and well kept. The breakfast was very good. The host was very friendly, helpful and great to talk to. There is a garden in the front and courtyard at the back. My family truly enjoyed our stay here.

Unique and wonderful place to stay!
This was an amazing place to stay!! The decor, the house, the host and the cats were amazing and even breakfast in the morning. If I ever go to Casablanca I'd love to come back to this place! I spoke with the owner and he was always attentive and caring in everything. I took some amazing pictures of the property and the cats.

This is a nice and good value place to stay. It is conveniently located within walking distance of L'Oasis train station which connects to the airport and Marrakech and within walking distance to the tram which takes you to the city and beach. But it is in a unattractive neighbourhood but the front gate is always locked. The gardens are lovely and you can have breakfast here or sit here in an evening with the free wifi. The breakfast is buffet style consisting of different teas, coffee, crepes, pastries, bread, boiled egg, different hams, jams and fresh fruit juice. The French couple who own it are friendly.
