"Overall ok stay here, the hotel itself is nice and the grounds are lovely with the water. The room I stayed in could do with a refresh, particularly in the bathroom, cracked sink for example. Frustratingly the WiFi was shocking, barely managed to get an email sent. Breakfast was nice though and staff all lovely."

"All in all a lovely hotel with clean room, although no phone to reach out to reception. Staff very helpful and informative. Spa good but having to pay £10 as a resident was a bit of a liberty. Biggest disappointments were the main restaurant being closed off and instead we had to use the inferior small bar area to which all tables had been reserved and the main menu which didn’t have much of a choice with a high price ! Overall though I would stay again but maybe eat out within the town of Llangollen"

"Last min booking, found as i was looking for a nice 5 star hotel within a reasonable distance from home. The property was nice enough, and indeed it has a plaque on the wall from AA showing 5 starts, but its not."
Ruthin Castle Hotel

"The castle was large and interesting. It was fun walking through the sprawling hallways. The rooms were modernized enough for comfort, yet kept their old charm. There were several peacocks and hens walking about the property outside, which was amusing. The staff was kind and personable. Plenty of free parking. Unfortunately, if you are intending on using the spa facilities, especially massage, facial etc., you need to book much in advance as those were unavailable on arrival."

"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Wrexham and cannot recommend it highly enough! A massive, special shout-out to Caz, who went above and beyond for us from the moment we stepped through the door. We arrived late, but Caz made sure we were looked after immediately, arranging with the kitchen so we could still get a hot meal. That level of kindness and attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Speaking of food—the burger we had on arrival was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was equally impressive and amazing value for money, with the choice of hot cooked-to-order dishes, continental options, or both, alongside fresh filtered coffee to start the day right. Our room was everything we needed: spotless, warm, and comfortable. The only minor downfall was the noise insulation between rooms, as we could hear the guests next door and above us talking and walking around. However, the top-notch service, fantastic food, and overall value far outweighed that one downside. Thank you to Caz and the team for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!"
