"The architecture was rustic mid-century modern and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The firestoves in the side reading rooms made the atmosphere cozy while the large viewing windows gave us the feeling that we were sitting outside with the sweeping views. Fireflies at nite off the garden room was magical. Staff Andrew and Javier were wonderful. The lodge was super close to Poas Volcano NP and an easy drive early in the morning and the staff worked with us to get breakfast to us quickly...

"It was a little hard to get our large car into the parking space of the hotel, but the owner was sweet and very helpful, guiding us via text and then in person when we tracked down the entrance in the rain.
