"Amazing breakfast and Vicente doing the waffles and omelets was so nice!! Towels, toiletries, sheets all top quality. The breakfast buffet was seriously the best I’ve seen anywhere, the afternoon complimentary cocktail hour was lovely, and so were the evening homemade cookies. Buds bar made the best cocktails. Only downside is we were celebrating our 25 year wedding anniversary and we got room 210 which faces the street it was a very small room and completely dark in there. The window seal was broken and water was getting inside due to the rain. "

"Host Julian was great! (Previous hosts have not been so nice and friendly.) We were given a room with a nice view. Fireplace worked beautiully, so we were cozy even with downpours and high winds. Bathroom tub/shower had grab bars and a rough bottom so you didn't have to worry about slipping. Shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap dispensers in the shower. If you prefer bar soap, bring one. No facial tissues. They were also nice about extra towels. Small fridge and there's an ice machine in the patio. Check-in area had the Carmel Pine Cone newspaper and brochures and maps on the area. We've stayed here before and it's just a three block walk to Ocean Avenue and all the shops. Some nice restaurants nearby -- Bistro Giovanni and Hog's Breath. The only thing missing is a elevator, so you have to lug your luggage up a lot of stairs. Some onsite parking. Overall a very pleasant place."
