Great Beach Access

The beach is about a block away with nice walking and jogging paths. Shops and restaurants are about two blocks away. And just a few miles to Legoland!

Really nice home in a fun beach town

Great stay minutes from beach and restaurants

Overall, this was a great place for a week-long stay for my family of four. Location cannot be beat - walking distance to the beach, and to restaurants and shops in Carlsbad Village. We only needed our car for quick runs to the grocery store and into San Diego.

Ideal Getaway

This place is the best of everything. The location is ideal, the place is charming. Everything about staying here made for a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. The sunlight streams in, it is clean, it is so close to the beach and places to eat. Absolutely wonderful! We will be staying here again.

Amazing little getaway

We we’re so pleased with this property that we’re already looking at dates for a return trip. Easy access to beach and extremely responsive management. Not to mention a short walk to all that Carlsbad Village has to offer. I highly recommend this rental

Nice place in a great location

Cannot beat the short walk to the beach and the village. Unit itself isn't spacious, but is really functional and in great shape Communication was fast (though would have ideally had the broken toaster replaced). Note - the laundry is shared among the units. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect spot for Carlsbad visit

Beautiful beach house!

Very nice location, 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. This house is loaded with beach toys and chairs incase anything was forgotten at home! Ample reserved parking even for a large truck. No complaints! It was a fun weekend!

We truly had a wonderful and relaxing week at the Tamarack Beach Resort. The weather was awesome. The house was comfortable and located close and convenient to shops, restaurants and downtown. It is only a few steps away from the beach and we had a spectacular show every afternoon watching the dolphins swimming and feeding right off the shore. We also thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the ocean while playing board games, reading, or eating our meals. Highly recommend! Looking forward to going back!!!!!

Great weekend in Carlsbad

Great property with amazing location! Super easy, short walk to the beach and to town. Great nearby restaurants. Property itself has two nice outdoor sitting areas on opposite sides so you can choose sun or shade. Receives great, warm morning sun in the kitchen and front deck in October. Bedrooms all have AC units. Has coffee maker; no coffee grinder. Worked perfectly for a family with an 8 month old and 3 year old.

Charming cottage to escape the AZ heat!

Lovely place situated close to the beach and downtown Carlsbad. The cottage is clean and has everything you need to make for a comfortable stay...loved the backpack beach chairs and umbrella! What a lovely patio to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset! Everything in the unit was in working order and the owners-managers could not have been more friendly and accessible. The kitchen is well-stocked and functional. The one suggestion would be for an umbrella to be added to provide shade for the patio table.

Perfection

From the booking process to sitting on the front deck with a cold glass of fizz; watching the world go by - Perfection. Online booking was simple with plenty of contact from Cindy to fill me with confidence that I was making a reliable reservation. This was the second stop on our vacation so arrival time was uncertain. The flexible availability time and the personal meet and greet arranged simply by text on our day of arrival was perfect for us. With additional tips on how to find the supermarket etc we were instantly at home. The property was immaculate and well stocked. The size of the property was bigger than expected from the website photos and plenty big enough for our family of four. Location wise - couldn’t be better. It really is steps from the beach and the village is a short stroll away - just far enough to walk off some of the amazing food you won’t be able to resist from the local eateries. If you decide to stay home and eat; the kitchen is well stocked and the dining space is more than ample. I really cannot fault this accommodation as I said it’s Perfection. My only stress - is leaving.

Excellent stay in Carlsbad

We stayed for a week as a family of four and it was perfect for our needs. Location could not be better and had everything we needed! Plenty of beach gear that we used numerous times including backpack cooler chairs body boards beach towels umbrella etc. We love Carlsbad and this was the best place we have rented here to date. Manager was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We are used to King beds etc so for us it was plenty big for the four of us. Everyone had their own bed and couldn't have been happier. Beach access is easy one block down and one block south to the beach stairs. We actually prefer to be one block off of the PCH highway to get the neighborhood feel amd very little traffic.... which helps make this place perfect. Really no need for your car unless your going further out. Walk right into restaurants etc. There are some new restaurants in town too that we liked. One is 264 ... delicious. We went twice it was so good. But get a reservation. It had roku with all the normal steaming apps but also a DVR which we used for recording some sports tkk ok watch at night. Perfect ! We will definitely bookmark this place for the future.

Amazing property. Loved everything about it. The amenities in the house were great had everything we needed for our stay. So relaxing the area is beautiful and felt super safe. Sitting on the patio listening to the waves crash was icing on the cake. Amazing restaurants and shopping are a quick walk away. Had an amazing stay definitely staying there again.

Oozing Coastal Vibes

Awesome place! Absolutely perfect. Might not be great for the people below if you have small kids that naturally stomp when they walk (or run and drop toys etc) as the floors do allow every step to be felt/heard.

100% Relaxing Getaway

I am a terrible sleeper and I slept great here! Very comfy and the location (just a block from the beach and a couple blocks from the village) is perfect. This was truly just what we needed and was a good fit for our whole family. If you are a light sleeper you might want earplugs. I think that would be true for anywhere in Carlsbad (not just here) because the train runs right through the village. The cottage had everything we needed. The only quirky thing is the thermostat. It's on the wall and it might look like it's on, but it's a little tricky. You have to point the remote directly at the heat/AC unit to get it to turn on.

Great location and nice place

Great location and we’ll appointed home that always smells beautiful surrounded by flowers. Walk to the beach and restaurants is very convenient and we liked having a nice patio to sit. Spent a week here with my family and we enjoyed our stay. Things to know if you’re booking this to set expectations: Furnishings are showing their age and high use; bathroom is very basic just a tub and shower curtain with a towel rack; main bed is a small queen and very firm; beach items show lots of use but nice to have them. All in all I provided a 4 star rating.
