Lovely place for a break
Comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. Very good for dogs - there is a paddock where they can roam freely and the owners thoughtfully provide poo bags! We stayed four nights during the September heatwave and the cottage stayed nice and cool during the day. The shower was a bit underpowered, but there was plenty of hot water for baths, washing up, etc. The quaint local towns of Llantwit and Cowbridge are a short drive away, and offer plenty to do and see. The farm shop at Cowbridge is great, with a cafe and play equipment for kids. Beach at Llantwit is disappointing if you are after sand - all big rocks and limestone pavement

Comfy cottage
Comfy cottage with everything we needed, suits us very well for a short stay with our dogs. There is a really good paddock for exercising the dogs, and lots of local walks nearby.

Cosy cottage
The cottage was very comfortable for two of us and 2 small dogs.The bed was very comfy and we slept well. The dog exercise/ picnic area was very handy. Great location for us.

Lovely cosy cottage in quiet location. Well equipped and log burner was the perfect touch for a cool Autumn night. Short walk down quiet lane to lovely welcoming pub with great Sunday Lunch. Great walks in the area along the coast. Nice to see that little has changed in the 35 years since we lived locally.

Short stay at Moorshead Farm
Just come home from a wonderful stay. We were in Wren cottage which was perfect for us as we have a little dog and this is one of two of the cottages which has a garden and a spectacular view. This is definitely the place to go to get away from it all but still be within easy reach of Cardiff Bay which is beautiful to visit. John and Sian are the perfect hosts ( living the perfect life, in my opinion :) ) and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and relaxing. The location was perfect with easy access to Cardiff and the other places we wanted to visit. We’d be happy to stay there again.

Lovely cottage only a short drive from Cowbridge, a very pleasant town with traditional High Street and good Amenities. Very peaceful setting. We loved it and would definitely like to stay again.

Great stay
Lovely stay. Owners so helpful. Couldn't do enough for you. Stayed for a trip to Cardiff very good local train links. Room beautiful with great views. Would not hesitate to recommend.

they were a very friendly couple and made you feel at home. room was comfortable even if I did have to share the shower with a spider a couple of nights. hotel is off the beaten track, but well sign posted from main road. it was nice to sleep with the windows open and only hear wildlife and not vehicles.

Charming quiet relaxing perfection
This was a private trip but I travel on business regularly so I've stayed in many hotels and B&B's in the UK and abroad. This is a lovely sympathetically restored 15th Century cottage in a blissfully isolated location. Sian and John and superb hosts and out trip was not "staying at a B&B" it was essentially being a house guest. Everything was perfect what more can I say. Everyone does mention the breakfast which is the highlight of the stay fresh locally sourced products make it definitely the best cooked breakfast i have ever had - which is terrible as I now know every other hotel or B&B breakfast I have will never be as good as the two I had here.

Excellent farmhouse close to Cow;bridge
We found Moorhead Farm easily as it was well signposted off a minor road just 3 miles from Cowbridge. Our welcome from our hosts John and Sian was very warm and friendly and we were delighted with our comfortable room with all amenities, en-suite and wi-fi.. Our hosts offered us a lift into nearby Cowbridge and we arranged a mutually convenient time for breakfast. The farmhouse is a beautiful conversion with parts dating back to the 16th century. Breakfast was excellent, a true hearty English breakfast featuring local produce and eggs laid by the hens on the farm.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was fabulous. Well cooked, plenty, very fresh homemade bread, jam and marmalade, eggs from the chicken kept in the back, locally sourced bacon and sausage...really lovely. Waking up to just birdsong was amazing. The room and facilities were very, clean and tidy. The king bed was comfortable. We choose this location because it was just off the beaten track, but close enough to visit the local area. We will be booking again.

Was on business and local hotel's full and as I was working at St Athans Airfield so wanted something local and Moorshead farm just perfect John & Sharn the hosts very pleasant and the location was perfect would also be a wonderful place to stay if you were wanting a short break.

Our stay lasted four days and the Farm was a great central location for the area as we were house hunting. We were also in the area to visit our married daughter who had just delivered our second grandchild. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Farm, the bed was comfy, the breakfast's were great and we will be visiting them again soon. P.S. We took our dog with us and she was quite taken with the resident dog Max.

We stayed the night before a track day at LLandow, and had not been able to book the same hotel as the rest of our team. This was in our favour, as we could not fault our stay at Moorshead Farm. It also turned out to be nearer to the track. Friendly welcome. Good locally sourced breakfast. Eggs laid that morning from the free range hens in the garden. Bed very comfortable with good quality linen, and a spotless bathroom. Lots of character in a 14th century farmhouse. We will definitely stay again when going to LLandow .

Outstanding service & comfort
Staying here is like staying with a long lost friend who knows when to talk and when to leave you alone. The facilities are outstanding, putting most 5* hotels to shame. The hospitality is excellent, the breakfasts are worth staying for in their own right. In future if I am in Cardiff for business I am going to make a point of staying here, its only a short drive and more than worth it. Great local walks as well

We found this accommodation to be excellent. Hosts were very hospitable; room was small but adequate and beautifully clean. Bathroom was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was a great meal. We loved it!
