"Could not be better. If it's hot on Isla, it's never hot at Casa de las Olas. A constant strong breeze and great cross ventilation make it comfortable at all times. The bedrooms are situated so all guests have privacy and quiet. The view is spectacular. We were so glad to be on this end of island away from chaos of downtown. "

Extremely limited food options at only one restaurant with 2 menus (italian-mexican-italian-mexican) Pool water cold. No music all day and no any kind of entertainment, everything is closed at 10pm. Beach small and overgrown with weeds. Towel shortage in the room and beach. "

"I booked through Expedia and paid in full or so I thought. At check-in I'm told there is a environmental fee right then. Nothing about that was listed on the website about this additional. I don't like being taken advantage of and I think everyone who checks in here is. If it's a legit fee why not have it in your booking or forewarn of it in the listing? As for the room it was big and air conditioned. The water in the sink and shower is salty due to it being right on the beach. And the toilet only flushed half the time."

"Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart beat. "
