"The room was very large and clean as was the bathroom. But it felt cosy. The staff at the pub were incredibly nice and helpful. It was a very nice, comforting stay with good food."

Beautiful location and really helpful host. She even did a load of laundry for us! Best place we’ve stayed in the UK on our trip so far and I wish we were here longer. Hint: use the postcode instead of the town to find it and you drive right here. There’s a hotel for food a 2 min drive away.

We had a comfortable stay, and the location was very convenient for exploring the city. Although the room wasn't particularly large, it had been recently renovated, featured a double bed, and was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay.
This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. A good continental buffet as well as freshly cooked hot breakfast options available to order, providing a great start to the day.

Lisa and Colin are wonderful hosts and made our stay at Borthwen really enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely and had something for everyone. Would highly recommend this property if you are fortunate enough to be visiting the beautiful North Wales area.

Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out.

A lovely location with excellent, friendly service. Big, well furnished rooms, and a very comfortable bed.
Staff went out of their way to look after me and ensure I got a meal when I arrived a little late.
Recommend.

We had a lovely room although small. Bed was small but really really comfortable. Really enjoyed the self serve breakfast and the warm filled baps were very good.

This is one of those times you don't judge a book by its cover. Quite old hotel, wondered if we had done the right thing. Looked like it was closed but along came the owner, sorry don't know name, showed us to our room which was quite generous in size. Clean and comfortable bed. Had our evening meal in restaurant which was very good. Good range of choices, very good service. Breakfast was just as good. The only thing was that it was a shared bathroom which we knew, but if full there was only one...
