Wonderful stay

Absolutely wonderful stay and wish we had stayed longer. Brilliant and comfortable room; lounge areas were pleasant to relax in. Annalize and co were attentive, helpful and very welcoming. I'd definitely stay again.

Fabulous property set behind secure gates with onsite parking. Close to The Wine Tram and walking distance to Franschhoek. Lovely contemporary spacious bedroom with modern sculptures and beautiful pictures. Lovely comfortable bed with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Breakfasts each morning were delicious which set us up for the rest of the day. Good, healthy choices of hot and cold selections. All made to order. Very friendly staff and very helpful host. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly Recommended.

This accommodation was absolutely wonderful! Very nice and spacious. The pool area was delightful. Close to both the town and the wine tram, just a few minutes’ walk away. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing; they made it just for you! Highly recommended!

What a delight!

We had an amazing stay here. The place.is lovely and the staff were brilliant. It was so comfortable! We had spent the day on the wine tram, which was lovely. The room was exceptional - it was so comfortable and generously sized. The breakfast was delicious and service great. Would definitely return if we go back to the area.

Great stay

We had a fantastic stay at Residence Vive La Vie. We were warmly greeted upon our early arrival and were very happy that they were able to have our room ready (after a very long flight). Our cottage was spacious and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Location is about a 15 minute walk to the center of town, very convenient. The breakfast was phenomenal, fresh cut fruit and made to order dishes prepared by some talented chefs every day. Highly recommend!

All the rooms are different but all are good-sized. Our room has double bathroom sinks, a large shower, a chaise lounge in addition to two armchairs. Very comfy. The breakfasts are excellent! Their so-called mini-continental is big enough to fill up most people: fresh baked muffin, croissant, fresh fruit, cheeses& meats, yogurt, juice, coffee. But you can also add eggs Benedict, omelette, shashuska, French toast— all included! We were in the winter but I can see how nice it’d be to enjoy their pool and gardens in the summer. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property and very close to the wine tram. 15 minute walk to Main Street but easy to get taxis at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to stay in franschhoek.

beautiful new guest house

Very warm welcome with a glass of MCC. The rooms are new and elegantly furnished and have a terrasse to the pool area. The pool area is kept very beautiful. Great breakfast is prepared in the open kitchen by Anje and her staff. We had the chance to meet the very friendly owners that gave us some recommendations for the wineries and restaurants in Franschhoek. The location is about 10 walking minutes to the city centre. will definitely visit again if we have the chance.

Das Viva la Vie ist ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel, das perfekt gelegen ist, wenn man die Wine-Tram nutzen möchte. In nur 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß an der Haltestelle. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und groß. An manchen Stellen ist die Eineichtung ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Einiges könnte ausgebessert werden. Es ist allerdings alles absolut vertretbar. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und das ganze Team ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool hätte ein kleines bisschen sauberer sein können, aber da wir eh nur einen Tag da waren, haben wir ihn ohnehin nicht viel genutzt. Wir können diese Unterkunft daher absolut weiterempfehlen.
