We had a lovely stay. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Our loft room, though a bit difficult to get up and down the staircase (definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues), was cosy and clean. The breakfast was great and swimming pool also very refreshing in the heat commonly experienced in Franschoek. Very centrally located in town, so it was also a convenient location with easy parking

Comfortable and great location

Great location just a few minutes stroll to Franschhoek cafes and restaurants. Warm and friendly welcome from Carol and Johannes and the other staff. The room was comfortable but would benefit from a spruce up as looked a bit tired, particularly the bathroom. Also there was a very strange smell coming from the bathroom but this could well have been from drains.

Such a great hotel , staff are lovely and friendly. Great location in Franschhoek , 2 minute walk to the Main Street. Breakfast was delicious. Nothing too much trouble for the staff . We had a lovely stay at the Mont d'Or - Johannes was a wonderful host! The property was really homely and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Its a short walk to town, restaurants or the wine tram and we'd definitely stay again :)

This property is in a fantastic location, being nice and central to restaurants and cafes on the Main Street. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. The room itself was pretty average (but spacious), especially given the price - it was quite old, with squeaky floors. The bed was a bit short (not an issue for us but if you’re taller it would be a bit small) and the shower did not have a curtain or door, allowing water to get all over the bathroom floor. The grounds of the hotel were nice with the breakfast by the pool area and garden.

Expedia's team needs to be more vigilant on trusting hotel pictures and postingthem on your website/app. The photos used to describe each room's bathroom at Mont d'Or was exactly the same and having stayed there, that's not the case at all. Our bathroom was worse than a cheap motel and I have pictures to back it up.
