Lush boutique hotel with amazing little touches

So many little touches like chocolates on the pillow and the turn down service. Couldn’t be more helpful for anything we needed! Room was lush had a massive bathroom and massive bed too. Breakfast was great and bar staff also lovely.

Happy We Chose La Fontaine

The friendly staff helped make this a spectacular stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the town and wineries. The location was excellent and the beds were great. We didn't try it, but we were told one of the swimming pools was bathtub warm.

A gem

A gem of a find. Truly fabulous welcome. It has a real rustic charm but with all modern amenity. Great location in centre of Franschoek. Could not recommend it highly enough.

A great new find.

Our first time at La Fontaine and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded expectation. The staff were excellent. Very attentive and interested in all their guests. The breakfasts offered a great choice and were very good. The. Bedroom was very comfortable, albeit an extractor fan in the bathroom would be a good addition. The communal areas were welcoming and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Superb property with incredible staff

I almost never leave a review but I couldn’t ignore this place. The property is very nice but what truly makes this outstanding is the staff, and really at all levels. From how we could park early in the morning to only check in in the afternoon, to how our little note about vegan breakfast if possible was fully noted with multiple options provided! You feel like a regular guest in a small caring hotel.

A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service.
