"We had a really lovely stay at the Victoria Hotel. It’s a charming place with plenty of character, and it felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, which really made a difference. The location is great — close enough to Canterbury city centre but still nice and peaceful. It made it easy to explore the area without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. A great choice if you’re visiting Canterbury and want somewhere comfortable with a friendly atmosphere."

"I’m teased a lot for being a hotel snob, but this hotel has changed my views on “cheaper” hotels, stayed here 4 nights and I’m actually a bit sad to be leaving, I have felt welcomed and comfortable here from the moment I arrived to the moment that I am about to check out. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble and all work very hard. Book with confidence, you won’t regret it. "

"Hotel was very quiet as it was a Sunday - it is also currently being renovated - I wasn’t offered a refurbished room until I asked specifically if any were available after I had already checked in. Old room was very dated, had a creaky floor, tap dripping and whistling extractor fan in bathroom. I’m not sure if the newer room we had was same grade as much smaller room size and double rather than king size bed. Decor much better and bathroom nice. Breakfast buffet was poor, my partner gave the full English 3/10 - quite a small portion served. machine coffee like dishwater - not proper filter coffee. Service was good but there were less than 10 people dining so not sure how it would be on a busy day with one staff member. Plus point was free parking and only 10 minute walk into town. Would maybe go back when renovations completed. "

"The four poster bed room was a nice touch. We hadn't realised there was a hot tub, so that was a nice touch. We didn't use the bar and outdoor seating, but they looked nice. We were quite impressed with breakfast too. "
