"Le logement est original mais difficile d'accès avec des valises, surtout de nuit. Le tarif est certe peu élevé mais la prestation ne vaut pas plus. Par contre grosse déception pour deux raisons : - on nous à demandé 50 € de caution (comme indiqué sur le site) récupérable lors du départ, que nous avions indiqué à 7h pour prendre un ferry. "Hotel extrêmement bien situé pour la vue sur l'île de la Gomera .Les cocktail du Romy's bar sont parfaits et que dire de la vue wow ! Notre condo avait un énorme balcon donnant vue sur la mer et les collines en même temps . A distance de marche de la plage ( il fait être en forme car c'est toujours en inclinaison) mais sa ce fait bien une vingtaine de minutes. L'état du condos était bien , très propre un peu vieillot mais tout était en état . Nous avons adoré profiter de notre terrasse , de la piscine et du Bar Romy's lors de nos fin de journée de visite . Nous n'avons pas manger au resto car nous étions hors de notre hébergement en journée et mangions a l'extérieur lors de la visite de l'île ."

"Everyone from the people working the front desk to the people working in the cafeteria as well as the cleaning staff were all very nice. Both pools were big and had plenty of seating areas outside. Even though most of the items for breakfast were pretty much the same everyday, they had a lot of different items to choose from. They would also prepare omelets as well as fried eggs. As for dinner, they have a very nice buffet with many options to choose from and these selections would change nightly due to the type of cuisine they decided to serve that night. The rooms were nice and you had your own private balcony. The property is surrounded by beautiful mountains and there is a nice 13 minute walk to the beach with nice restaurants and stores along the way. I stayed there a week with my family and it was wonderful. Not sure when or if I would visit the island again, but I would definitely stay there again."

"The hotel was absolutely stunning. I was arriving late at night past the opening times for dinner and so the staff had prepared a plate of meats cheeses and salad and put it in my room upon arrival. Such a thoughtful gesture that made such a difference! Jorge from the reception staff was amazing and made me feel welcome explaining all the amenities etc. I was in the annex building which was quiet and really clean which was nice to arrive to. I had booked half board and so was paying for drinks the light my stay which were incredibly well priced and honestly cheap, especially for a hotel bar! Sara from the bar was really friendly and made some custom drinks I found online which tasted incredible! When it was time to leave, because my flight was at night, the staff offered free luggage storage, a free shower room to get ready in, and a key card so I could still access the hotel and beach via access gates until I needed to head to the airport. This made all the difference and is such a nice touch that made travelling so much easier. The friendly reception staff were able to call a taxi for me which only took about 5 minutes to arrive and I was able to pay for everything at the hotel, again, such a nice touch to make everything effortless! I can’t recommend this hotel and its staff enough, I will definitely be back!"

Gara Suites Golf & SPA

8/10 Good

"We stayed in a two-bedroom suite at Gara Suites. The hotel offers good value for money, but overall I feel it is closer to a 3-star hotel than the 4 stars it advertises. The suite was spacious, but it only had one bathroom. The room description also stated a golf course view, but our balcony overlooked a construction site. From around 8–9am every morning there was loud construction noise, and dust covered our balcony and clothes. We also expected a kitchen, but there wasn’t one. There were no tea or coffee facilities, only one bottle of water, and we had to request a kettle from reception. The housekeeping staff were excellent, especially the gentleman cleaning Block 4 on the third floor. He was always friendly, polite and kept our room spotless every day. Breakfast had a good selection and was enjoyable. The biggest disappointment was the seafood buffet. We paid before entering as instructed, but while dining another staff member asked for our room number and wrote it down. The next morning, another employee wrongly claimed we hadn’t paid. Thankfully I had kept my receipt. This showed a serious lack of communication between staff, which was frustrating and embarrassing. The spa was relaxing, but it required an extra charge despite the hotel promoting itself as a Golf & Spa resort. The pool was pleasant but quite small with very limited shade. The location is also far from the town centre, we had to rely on taxis throughout our stay. A shuttle bus would make a difference"
