Nice room, good view but the staff and their service is horrendous. The first evening we go there the person behind the desk was not very friendly. The next day a young woman was working the front desk. I went up to the desk at 8:30, 9:30am and 10:00 no one was there. I was 15 minutes and still no one. We then called the desk, several times, before someone finally answered and asked if we could book the room another night the answer was a flat NO. Not let me check if other rooms are available ...nothing?? Then we asked for a late check out and she says "It is against our policy". I have stayed at some of the finest hotels in the world and this is a absolute first. I then mentioned we had someone in the shower and she says (at 10:30am) "You have 30 minutes you better be out by then" It actually sounded like a threat??? In addition the continental breakfast was not very good, apple juice, stale pastry, hardboiled eggs and watery coffee. For what we paid oatmeal, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage would have been so easy to do and cheap. What a shame because the property is nice and the room was good. The service really ruined it for us. I have stayed at the Pelican, Sea Otter and Sand Peebles all great places. I would recommend those if you're looking to be treated well.
