Lovely Place

The place was the best we’ve stayed in. Lovely house and location, easy WiFi access, games to play, kitchen with every utensil needed, not far from grocery store. We loved it!

Felt so welcomed in this home. It well stocked with everything we needed and more. Homeowners thought of every detail. We also enjoyed the wine and other goodies they provided. House was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on two of the three decks enjoying the sun, cool breeze, and variety of trees. At times it felt like we were in a tree house. A good place for a quiet retreat.

THE BEST VRBO.

Gorgeous house that completely exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail and all the amenities were truly extraordinary. Quiet neighborhood with lovely, peaceful outdoor seating areas. We highly recommend this property and can’t wait to return.

Family retreat!

Wonderful property that was very clean and well appointed. Perfect for our family of 4 adults and two small children. Lots of wild turkeys and deer about the yard. Easy access to great hiking within Fiscalini Ranch Perserve.

Perfectly relaxing getaway

My two adult children and I stayed at the property for three nights. We each had our own amazingly comfortable bed. The property easily accommodated three adults cooking meals, relaxing, and studying. The outside decks gave us ample space when we needed to have a break and have some privacy.The environment is unbelievably beautiful. The home is a well-decorated gem in the middle of green space with birds and deer. We loved our time there.The property owners are very communicative and had a welcome gift of a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a jar of local jam. We felt very pampered.We highly recommend this space for a perfect Cambria getaway.

Beautiful home in magical setting

Coastal Retreat is a lovely home in a setting that feels like a nature retreat, overlooking a lovely canyon full of trees and ferns. We were so grateful for the many thoughtful, personal touches throughout the house and all the care in the communication with the owner/host. Our favorite part was sitting on the deck and relaxing, serenaded by an amazing variety of bird song. The house feels a world by itself, although it is in a residential neighborhood and minutes away from all the charms and amenities of Cambria as well as the nearby oceanfront Fiscalini Preserve for glorious walks. We look forward to returning for future visits!

Wonderful stay

This home was so great to stay in. The home was in excellent condition. It was so nice to have all the extra kid stuff. The home was very well equipped in the kitchen. Lots of space in the living room., everyone felt like the home was very spacious. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here again.

A wonderful getaway home

We love the property so much, it’s clean and cozy. The view is pretty and peaceful, also the towels and sheets are well stocked. Our kids loved it, it’s perfect for family with little kids, it has a crib and a toddler bed. Our kids slept well during our entire stay. The location of the house is close to everything, the beach, the trails, and the restaurants. Overall it was great and communication with Kerrie is easy and she responds very quickly. Definitely will be going back :)

Great central location to stay in Cambria!

Great house in a super central location in Cambria - so close to everything but you feel like you are off in the forest with the great view off the back balcony. Beds are super comfy, bathrooms and kitchen has everything you need to make you feel right at home. Very clean and loved all the added special touches. We usually stay in a hotel when we come to Cambria, but we have found our new space to call home away from home. Thank you for sharing the great home.

Loved this coastal retreat! Very nice cozy Christmas.Great place to stay going to the Christmas market.Great communication with the owners and they thought of everything we needed including a Christmas tree and very much appreciated the delicious bottle of wine and truffles to make you feel even more special. Also enjoyed the coffee and now ordering the same for my everyday coffee. Had a lot of great walks at nearby Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and in the neighborhood, the deer all around was a special treat.We enjoyed our time at Coastal retreat and would highly recommend staying here.

A Lovely Stay

We truly enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. The living room was a wonderful place to visit with our friends and goddaughter, cozy and comfortable. We spent evenings on the deck gathered together around the fire pit (glass of wine in hand). The beds and linens were very comfortable, and we had plenty of privacy, with one bedroom/bath downstairs and another upstairs. We walked from the house to explore the Fiscalini Preserve, one of our favorite Cambria pastimes, and drove into town for shopping and browsing. We hope to make it back some day soon!

Everything was perfect!

We have travelled to and stayed in Cambria several times in the past and this was our best stay by far. The Coastal Retreat is a dream and our hosts thought of everything we could hope for in a home away. The house was sparkly clean and thoughtfully furnished and outfitted. The setting is beautiful and a joy to spend time in from the furnished deck. A binder full of knowledgeable recommendations for walks, hikes, food, and shopping informed our daily choices. We absolutely hope to return soon and often!

The day of arrival we had a terrible storm that shut off power to vrbo. Hosts notified us an hour or so before our arrival and offered us a night at another house near by. Unfortunately it was not accessible for me and hosts quickly refunded money for that night. We checked in the following day and power remained on for the remainder of our stay. There were a couple more hiccups but I have never in my travels come across such gracious and responsible hosts. Everything was ironed out quickly and satisfactory. Location was perfect for us we were hooking up with family nearby. The vrbo allowed me to entertain and provided a comfortable gathering place.

Lodge Hill Perfection

Kerri and Greg should write a book on how to host a VRBO! This home has it all: amazing views from the incredible deck with a firepit and bbq, the comfy beds, the well-stocked and user friendly kitchen, ease of check in, incredible response and attention from the owners, and did I mention the AMAZING VIEWS of fern canyon from the deck? Plus the little touches like fresh ground coffee, a bottle of wine and chocolates, a log on the fireplace, recommendations for hikes and restaurants, and even a basket of goodies for our dog! We spotted deer, all sorts of birds, and even wild turkeys right outside the front door. Close to town and the ocean but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this home is paradise. We have been coming to Cambria for 32 years, staying in many different vacation homes but this one is now our absolute favorite! We plan to be back as often as possible!
