"The staff were friendly. The breakfast was typical for this level of stay. Everything was refreshed regularly. The hairdryer was hit and miss. Couldn’t use it on high because after 1 minute it overheated. Had to wait 5 minutes to cool off. I advised the front desk but by the time they came to look at it, it was fine again. Repeat same cycle above. It was a little frustrating. Bring your own hairdryer if you stay. I had the upgraded room with a “kitchenette”. It had 1 fork and 3 knives for cutlery and no glasses or coffee mugs. Only plastic cups. Trying to watch TV was an exercise in frustration. Wifi kept cutting out and the screen freezing. They need to upgrade their service."

"You can see my earlier review. I booked 3 nights and needed a 4th, so I made a second booking. Hence 2 reviews. The place is run down. The bed bug reports of 6 - 8 months ago are being dealt by an exterminator said to be on site every month. But the place could use a handyman to touch up paint in the rooms. And redo the caulking in the bathroom and elsewhere. Such a simple task. Yet such a glaring tell that whomever has done renovation on the premises just didn't know what they were doing. As I retold earlier, the biggest beef was that I was made to check out of room 105 at 11 AM only so I could check into the same room later that day at 3 PM. This is evidence that the staff (and management) don't have a clue about the Hospitality Industry. Price is right. A little more knowledge and planning and the property could be a unique opportunity in the Calgary market (and others across Canada I'm sure). This feels like the Motel 6 concept. But they need to do a lot more work!!"
