"The ocean was visible, and was wonderful with the full moon during our stay. The staff was less than helpful with local information, couldnt direct us to anything outside the hotel. It was like they took an oath not to help the guests with anything outside the hotel. We did not visit the spa. Our last two days, we had to call for housekeeping to clean our room. NOT cool!"

"Our room was older but very well maintained and serviced daily. The staff were incredibly helpful and we were not bothered by time share conversations beyond the initial questions regarding our interest. There dining options were excellent and we enjoyed every meal we had at the restaurants on site. The coffee shop is a really fun option! We love being able to swim in the ocean so that is the only downside to this property as it's located at a non-swim able beach area however it is across from the marina so you get all the upside of a beach front property in walking distance of downtown. "

"Dear Guest Relations, I am writing regarding our stay beginning March 2, 2026. We originally booked an Ocean Front Junior Suite with a king bed at RIU Palace Baja California. When we arrived at the front desk at RIU Palace Baja California, we were informed that our reservation was instead at RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas, which was not the hotel we intended to stay at or believed we had booked. We asked whether we could remain at RIU Palace Baja California. The front desk informed us that it would be possible but that we would need to pay an additional charge. Under protest, we agreed, as we had already arrived and did not want to relocate again. Unfortunately, the only room available was an Ocean View Junior Suite with twin beds, which is an inferior room type compared with the Ocean Front King Junior Suite we originally booked. In addition, we incurred $250.88 in extra charges plus taxi fees as a result of this change. Given that we paid more for a room that was a downgrade from our original booking, we believe some form of compensation or refund would be appropriate. We would appreciate your assistance in reviewing this situation and advising what can be done to resolve it fairly. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response. "Lovely hotel, 6km from downtown so be prepared to Uber everywhere. Not a problem, just good to know. Downtown is party city and you don’t want to be there! Full kitchens so Uber over th Fresko and stock up. The hotel market is very limited but does sell water, wine and beer. We loved staying here and will go back. "

"Room was very clean a bit outdated spa over priced pool was amazing especially the “smaller” pool over all loves the location of the hotel will be going there again "

"My friend and I have stayed a couple times at Pueblo Bonito and every time is wonderful! This was our first time traveling without our family members and we had such a wonderful time getting to know the staff and guests! Made so many friends and memories to last a lifetime!!! We are always so excited to come back and will be booking another stay very soon! Room was spacious and beautiful ocean view! Food was delicious and The After was our go-to “night out” spot! We will have to check out the spa next trip! Highly recommend staying at Sunset Beach! Very quiet, family friendly, great mix of ages, and amazing cocktails! "
