Costa Azul Beach (Blue Coast Beach) is a place chosen by surfers, both locals and tourists, to ride impressive waves. Along this laid-back beach, go for long walks and take beautiful panoramic photos. Tides can be strong, so it’s common to see just a few rather expert surf aficionados in the water. The beach is located in San José del Cabo, one of the main cities in Los Cabos municipality, Baja California Sur, in northwest Mexico. Costa Azul is often referred to as the capital city of summer surf and hosts many competitions during the year, including Los Cabos Surf Open. In the horse stables near the Costa Azul arroyo (stream), rent horses for riding adventures. When it’s time for lunch, find the famous Zipper's Bar and Grill, a seaside restaurant, where you can devour burgers and ribs while enjoying the views.
To reach Costa Azul Beach you need to travel to the southwest extremity of San José del Cabo. It’s located on the Transpeninsular Highway. Access the beach from the sandy arroyo that passes beneath the Costa Azul Bridge.
