"We stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition because it was recommended due to its proximity to the venue. Unfortunately, the stay was just okay.
When we first checked into our room, it had clearly not been cleaned. We took photos and immediately informed the front desk. There was dirt, hair, food crumbs, stained furniture, and some of the most unpleasant bathroom grout I’ve seen in a hotel. To their credit, the staff was accommodating and moved us to another room without issue
The second room was better, but it still was not what I would consider clean. There wasn’t even that fresh, cleaned-room feeling when you walked in. I’m not sure what cleaning products are used, but it felt more like surfaces had been touched up rather than thoroughly cleaned.
The property is undergoing renovations, so I understand some areas may not be at their best right now. However, cleanliness should still be a standard regardless of construction. The pool area could definitely use a deep cleaning and refresh as well.
The complimentary breakfast was basic but available, which was appreciated. The air conditioning worked well, and ice/ water were readily available throughout our stay.
Overall, this hotel lacked the quality and experience I typically associate with a Radisson, especially for a downtown location.
The staff handled our concerns professionally, and I appreciate that. However, the condition and cleanliness of the property would prevent me from returning."
"A motel 6 wrapped in crown molding, the rooms are terrible for the price. It felt like place living on old memories and a cheap wallet for operational upkeep."
"The room was clean and the beds made well. Really nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool is great! The breakfast is good and a welcome meal. I will definetely book again on my next trip to Michigan"
Huge lake house. 3 levels. 9 bedrooms. Great for groups. Large beach. Fire pit.
2/10 Terrible
"Great location — that was definitely the best part of our stay. But honestly we ran into some real issues that made the trip pretty uncomfortable. The water had a really strong sulfur smell in every bathroom and the kitchen. Showering was unpleasant the entire trip and cooking was a struggle. When we brought it up the host admitted they already knew about it but hadn't mentioned it anywhere in the listing. Their response was basically that we'd get used to it. There was a filter under the kitchen sink but the water came out so slowly it was barely usable. A few guests also had some skin sensitivity from the water. Some of the shower heads and sinks were visibly rusted which tells you this has been going on a while.Several bathrooms and bedrooms also had locks that didn't work — not great when you're traveling with families.Just a heads up for anyone booking in summer — AC is not listed as an amenity and is not available at the property. With a bigger group it gets pretty warm. The host replied quickly but wasn't very open to addressing our concerns. Nice location but these things need to be fixed and disclosed before booking."
