Waterlily Retreat—Bushland Serenity near the Beach

Summary:

An easy stroll leads you to Eagle Bay Beach, where calm waters invite swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking. You’re also a short drive from Meelup Regional Park, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, and Dunsborough, placing renowned dining, trails, and local attractions within easy reach. Back at the house, light-filled living areas and a modern kitchen offer relaxed holiday comfort, while outdoor spaces draw you into nature with a covered alfresco dining zone and a seating nook ideal for quiet moments.



The Space:

Surrounded by native bushland, the home feels peaceful and secluded, offering natural serenity while remaining close to the ocean. Inside, the main living space is warm and grounding, with rammed-earth walls and timber-lined ceilings setting a relaxed coastal tone. Comfortable seating gathers around the wood-burning fireplace for cosy evenings, while the space opens to fresh air and leafy outdoor views. A separate games room provides a second living zone, complete with a ping-pong table and soft seating—ideal for friendly competition or time away from the main living space.



The dining area sits centrally, perfect for shared meals and long conversations, and flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen. Fully equipped with quality appliances, including an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, fridge, rice cooker, slow cooker, and espresso machine, the kitchen also features a breakfast bar with stools, ideal for morning coffee or keeping the cook company.



Sleeping quarters are arranged for comfort and privacy. The primary bedroom offers a quiet retreat with a queen bed, walk-in wardrobe, ensuite, and direct outdoor access for slow, nature-filled mornings. Additional bedrooms include one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, and two with twin single beds, ideal for children or friends sharing. Ceiling fans are fitted in each bedroom for comfort. The main bathroom is bright and contemporary, with laundry facilities integrated for added convenience during longer stays. An outdoor clothesline with pegs is available for drying.



Outdoors, a covered patio becomes a natural extension of the home. An alfresco dining table and BBQ invite long lunches and easy dinners, while a nearby seating nook offers a quiet spot for reading or evening drinks. The surrounding garden and bushland enhance the sense of privacy.



A wide driveway provides ample off-street parking for up to four vehicles. With walking paths leading toward the beach, the home balances bushland calm with effortless coastal access.



A starter pack of wood is provided during the winter months only (June – August). This includes kindling, firelighters, matches, and wood. Axes are not supplied due to safety reasons. Additional wood may be purchased from a nearby fuel station or hardware store.



Guest Access:

During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!

Nestled in one of Eagle Bay’s most peaceful coastal pockets, this home sits a 14-minute walk from the golden sands of Eagle Bay Beach, where calm, clear waters invite swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking. Nearby, explore Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse or enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly day at Meelup Beach.



Within ten minutes by car, discover standout local dining at Eagle Bay Brewing Co., Wise Eagle Bay Restaurant, Meelup Farmhouse, Other Side Of The Moon, and ilma Beach House.



Meelup Regional Park is just seven minutes away, offering walking trails, wildlife, and hidden beaches. Head ten minutes into Dunsborough for boutique shopping and cafés, or venture to Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park for surf breaks, scenic hikes, and sweeping coastal lookouts.



Getting Around:

Parking: There are four free parking spots available in the driveway.



Airport: 40 minutes by car.
