"The girl at the front desk was very helpful upon our arrival. Gave us plenty of useful info including a new great place to eat. Everything was perfect except for5 one thing. There is windows next to the front door that light comes in all night and first thing in the morning even though they have great black out drapes on patio windows. "

"I had a wonderful stay at Haka House Lake Tekapo. From the moment I arrived, the experience was excellent. Molly at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She gave me a very detailed and patient introduction to the hotel, the surrounding area, and all the things to do in Tekapo. She even explained where to shop and how to get around, which was extremely helpful for a first-time visitor. Her friendly and thoughtful service really made me feel welcomed. The hotel itself is extremely clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The common areas and kitchen are tidy, the rooms are spotless, and everything feels modern and well organized. The location is also perfect—close to the lake, shops, and walking paths. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended"

"Stayed here for a night while traveling south. Basic room with kitchenette. WiFi was a bit slow I think because I was in one of the rooms further from the router maybe in the office but it wasn’t a big deal. I saw they had communal laundry services but I didn’t try but it’s a great luxury. Overall this was a basic room (I had a queen + two twin beds in a separate room). The woman who owned?/ran the front office was great. Free milk for your tea upon arrival. Would totally recommend to anyone driving through and couldn’t book an accommodation in Lake Tepako. "
