"perfect. Clive the perfect Host! This little cottage, beautifully conserved and off the road with virtually its own private pub. As a base for our travels from Shipslake, to Henley, Oxford and Bray, it couldn't have been better sited. Two short walks are compulsory, one to the iron age fort site (very little evidence left) and the Anglo Saxon church on the other side of the road and two to the river and memorial. Not much further, but with a car and you have the Village of Hambledon (and Pub)...

"Aanrader. Een leuk huis met voldoende voorzieningen en een fijne serre vanwaar je uitkijkt over de gloeiende heuvels. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk. Enig minpunt was voor ons het bed. Dat vonden wij niet zo comfortabel (erg kort en erg zacht), maar dit hoeft uiteraard niet voor iedereen een probleem te zijn. "

"We had a wonderful 3 night break at The Long Barn in February. The building has been renovated to an exceptional standard, whilst retaining all its original features. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything you might need to cook. The lounge area had sumptuous sofas, the bedrooms all with en-suites were extremely comfortable and had great views of the surrounding gardens.
