Clean, cozy, easy to find, and very VERY close to everything! We really enjoyed walking up and down the street, shopping, and all of the coffee, food, and sweets around us! Thank you for hosting!
We absolutely loved staying here! It was perfect for me, my husband, and our two young children! It was right next to everything, it was clean, and management was easy to get ahold of (I couldn’t figure out how to turn the fireplace on). I highly recommend this property and will be staying here again in the future!
Property was exactly what we needed. Walking distance to SMRR, restaurants and shopping. Clean and cozy. Beds were firm and comfortable. Everything you need except food included. Avsolutely loved it and would highly recommend.
You’d never guess this is a VRBO but it is right in the heart of it all. We walked to breakfast and dinner each day at Everett’s Diner and bought t-shirts from the HD outpost. We also enjoyed coffee and donuts at Honey Bear cupcakery. The unit was clean and provided everything we needed. Perfect for a small family or great for a couple’s getaway.
Also close to NOC where we rafted down the Nantahala River. Can’t say enough about this town and the “cabin”. We’ll be back!
This little gem was in a great location. Walked everywhere! It is accessible. The beds were comfortable. The towels were so fluffy! Water pressure was good in the shower and toilets. Lighting was good. Didn't get to try out the fireplace since it was not cold while we were there, but that looks like it would be a great addition to the experience in late fall or winter. Would definitely stay here again! Layout of space was great. Plenty of drawers for storage. No hanging storage but we didn't need it. Checkout was easy. Wish we'd had the time to add on another day. There is a little dog you can hear barking, but only if he hears you. I heard him in the shower...but not anywhere else, so the space was pretty quiet. The ROKU TV is in the living room and has lots of options for movies, shows, music, etc... There are no TV's in the bedrooms, but you don't need them.
We had a nice time and the space was nice and clean. We weren't fans of no windows. We arrived later in the evening due to travel delays and we were hungry. We found there was nothing in the town open. Resturants and bars close at 8 pm or earlier, stores close at around 5 or 6. The space itself was nice, the town left us looking for things to do. If we would return we'd look for a space with windows. We did have a lovely couple days tho as we walked during the day to the different shops and brewerys.
Great location and very clean. Easy to communicate with owners. Once we were there, I was less comfortable with staying there. I had read that the place had no windows and wasn't worried about that but then realized that this meant that there was only one point of egress (the front door) in the event of a fire. This is actually illegal in most states and in reading North Carolina building code, I am not clear if having 2 bedrooms without a second point of egress is up to code (it seems like the code in NC is quite complicated)--I certainly makes me uncomfortable. It seemed like there were some corners cut in regards to drywall (e.g., they didn't actually tape and mud the two pieces of drywall together, just painted in between). It makes me worry about any other corners that could have been cut to turn a profit. (this also could have been a stylistic element, however). The wifi also didn't work very well (we ended up turning off the wifi and using our own data). The place was very clean, well located, and I admit I am very risk-adverse and so read this review with those things in mind. I would consider staying here again but would would look at properties first before making a decision.
While there are no windows to the property for natural light and outlets are missing at key spots like beside the bed, this is a FANTASTIC place to stay. Very clean. Amazing location. Great customer service. I would highly recommended this place. Easy walk to downtown Bryson and the railroad. I can’t wait to be back
Walking distance to everything in downtown. We plan to take a return trip to Bryson City next December and plan to stay at Island Street Hideaway again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Perfect location to everything in town. We literally walked everywhere because it was so close and convenient. The apartment itself was beautiful. Love all the natural wood. Was very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. My only small complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear every conversation the office next door is having. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.
