My children (12 and 6) and I always take a trip to the mountains before or after Christmas. The house was perfectly clean with all the amenities as described. The cabin is close to everything and the views are perfect. Hope to visit again in the summer.
This was our first stay in a VRBO. We wont use a hotel anymore! Great experience. Room for the whole family! They even had a full bottle of propane for the grill. Hottub was great. View was spectacular. Your only neighbors are the bears! Truley remote in the side of the mountain. We will be back!
This cabin is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I are a bit ocd when it comes to cleanliness of new places, and this cabin was a nice refresher. Everything was nice and clean. The view was absolutely beautiful. I will say as we do a lot of trail riding we wasn’t expecting the drive way to be as bad as others made it out to be. But it’s definitely something to drive slowly, and carefully in a 4wheel drive. Although Bryson doesn’t have many tourist attractions it was definitely the get away from the world we needed! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Most definitely will rebook if we are looking to come back to Bryson North Carolina!
Despite the instance of the rental company, I would recommend a combination of their directions and GPS to find Heavenly Lane. There directions are precise, but since the street sign is missing and the lane is more of a driveway than a road, you'll need the help of the Internet to determine where you get off of Deep Gap Road. I recommend getting there in the daylight...our night time arrival made this especially interesting. The recommendation of a vehicle that has 4wd/AWD is well warranted. The property was nice and the view, even though fall hadn't quite arrived yet, was magnificent. A point of note, both of the bathrooms are only accessible from inside each of the main floor bedrooms. The pictures lead you to believe that there are 4 twin beds, in two different rooms, but that's not the case. There is a room with one queen and a room with 2 twins on the main floor. Down the spiral staircase, in the middle of the open family/entertainment space is the bunk providing the other 2 beds. Overall, I would stay there again.
The property we originally listed was spacious had beautiful views had a hot tub and a washer and dryer… after a ten hour drive..I had an extremely difficult time finding the property with the incredibly poor directions and poor property markings…in an effort to access the property the access road was so treacherous, that I almost lost my newToyota Tundra truck into the trees..as it slid backwards down the incline. Luckily it stopped an received only a few scratches from the trees…mind you I was in the lowest gear. I slowly inched my way back down backwards…Stressed out of my mind. When I got to a safe spot I called the property mgt people..they told me that i should have completely read the listing as it requires 4 wheel drive. I told them that someone would need an ATV to run that access road. I told the my daughters were coming in a Toyota Camry…I would hate to think what might of happened to them if they tried to run the access road. After telling me they had nothing else for me I told them I had just driven 10 hours and my daughters and their boyfriends had done the same, they found another cabin to rent us. To our dismay it had no view, was extremely small, no hot tub, one tiny bathroom with a cold water shower…I have not seen any refund or discount off the original price I paid…We go on vacation usually once or twice a year but I certainly cannot recommend this…It was the worst VRBO experience we have had.

Great unit on a ledge of a beautiful valley. The driveway is INSANELY steep, highly advise 4-wheel drive. House is comfortable, well equipped and stocked.Minor maintenance issues which were reported.Just a great place to get away.
It was very clean and beautiful cozy cabin. We enjoyed the seclusion in amenities, especially the hot tub and pool table. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
This place is off the beaten path in the best way. Sunsets on the balcony are terrific and the home is spacious and comfortable. My family had a great week here.
The pictures online do not do this place justice!!!! Beautiful scenery. Loved the fire pit. Hot tub was great. Place was amazing. Definitely need 4 wheel drive but so worth it. Will definitely stay here again
The pictures do not do this place justice. It is secluded, comfortable, clean and well maintained. It’s close to Bryson city but far enough that you forget it’s there. The stars… my lord it’s gorgeous. Will likely return again and again.
The cabin and property were perfect. The view was amazing! We actually felt like we experienced a true fall. The foliage was beautiful. The cabin was close enough to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park that we could visit there easily. You do need the four wheel drive for the driveway. We hope to stay here again next year!
So many great things about this property, BUT BE WARNED ABOUT THE MAP! VRBO shows this cabin being very close to Bryson City on the north side of the highway. It is, in fact, 6 miles SOUTH of the highway. And that equates to over 30min of driving that was a complete surprise. I was very disappointed in this error, and hope that it can be fixed so that the cabin is not being falsely advertised. Other than that disappointment, the cabin itself was great.
It was not what I expected, the air conditioning did not cool and there were several inconveniences.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Water ran out on day two. Heat did not work in basement. We had to move out on day Two
Horrible. Heat did not work in bottom
Floor so my kid and no where to sleep. On the second day we Ran out of water. If you don't have a four wheel drive you won't get up there. I moved out on day two and lost 400 dollars of fees! Wasted money and vacation
Wonderful private location.., definitely need 4 wheel drive to get up the mountain. .. the drive was fun . House is well designed, clean .. kitchen had everything you need . The views are beautiful .. up in the clouds . I would suggest upgrading the master bed to a larger size and new softer mattress. We slept on it the first night and had to move into the other bedroom to sleep separate on the single beds due to the bed feeling like a rock . Also suggest a regular size couch or small size wrap around for family room for comfort . Would definitely stay here again .. the experience would be even more amazing w a great nights sleep . Thank you for sharing your slice up heaven w us.
The cabin was very clean and had spectacular views. We really liked that it was secluded and you could sit on the deck and enjoy the sound of nature. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck each morning. It doesn't take long to get to town if you want to grab a bite or do a little shopping. It's not a bad drive to Gatlinburg either. The cabin could use more comfy furniture on the main level. The only "soft" seating is a leather love seat. The bed in the master bedroom was very hard and squeaked when you would roll over. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the twin beds most of the week. We also bought an air mattress to lay out on the deck since all of the patio furniture is hard seats. The cabin has a short walk to a waterfall and a trail that goes higher on the mountain. My husband ran into a pack of 10 or 12 dogs on the logging road that is off of the trail. They barked at him but didn't come towards him. You may want to keep this in mind if your bringing a furry friend.
Amazing View! Great Location. Comfy Cabin. Secluded.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clingmans View Chalet. The cabin is in a secluded area of a mountain with an incredibly beautiful view of Clingmans Dome. The cabin is very clean (pretty sure it’s brand new), has a balcony on top/main floor with a couple rocking chairs and a table so we were able to eat outside and the kids had little “picnics” out there as well. Down the spiral stairs is a little loft where you can do your laundry, watch some tv or play games with the family. And out the door was a little porch area with a swing and the hot tub which provided lots of entertainment for the family. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit outside, as the weather was a little rainy, but there was still plenty of fun to be had. Our only cons the whole stay was that the beds were super hard and uncomfortable (at least in the master bedroom - kids will sleep on anything so they didn’t mind their beds). The driveway was so steep too, definitely recommend 4WD, the husband had a blast with it, the wife was sweating bullets grasping the “Oh Crap” handle with white knuckles, the kids thought they were on a roller coaster ride (Ha). All-in-all this was such a fun trip, and would definitely recommend this cabin. No doubt this is a 5-star rental. Thank you so much!!

Disliked: Communication, location
Disappointing
My family was unable to stay at the property.
I take responsibility for not reading all the details thoroughly. Please be aware that to reach this cabin you MUST HAVE 4-WHEEL DRIVE and the experience to use it.
That said … I can’t speak to cleanliness of ease of checkin … although these are required ratings.
HOWEVER …
1). Communicatipn was extremely lacking. Responses to my initial questions were impatient at best. After realizing that I could not reach the property … all attempts to contact the host were ignored. I only received a call and text 6 days after the start of occupancy … and this was only a courtesy reminder that my stay would be over the following morning.
The host did not reach out and try to help by offering alternate accommodations nor patiently explain my error.
2). Also, it is my strong opinion that the host could have made it much more obvious / more prominently stated that this property requires 4-wheel drive to access.
Had quite the adventure finding the place. It was worth it in the end. Beautiful views off back porch. Twin beds were uncomfortable but that’s me being nit picky. We would stay here again!

If you’re looking for a seriously secluded cabin this is the place. You will need 4wd/AWD vehicle to get up driveway! Traversing the driveway is not for the faint of heart and can be tricky. The cabin is well appointed with everything you will need. Very clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the mountains. Spacious bedrooms with a large game room including pool table. Both bathrooms are on the main level with laundry room in the basement. Great spacious kitchen with all you will need to cook three meals a day.
