The Notebook Haus in Omeo

The Notebook Haus in Omeo

10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful house with so much love and care put into it. Full of interesting details, very comfortable and warm in cold weather. Marycke was so easy to communicate with. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay very much, only complaint was we couldn't stay longer and spend more time enjoying the views from the beautiful back deck!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Brumby?
The best area to stay in Brumby is the Brumby Central Business District (CBD) due to its convenient location and access to attractions. The Brumby CBD is the heart of the city, characterised by its modern skyscrapers, well-maintained public spaces, and a grid-like street layout. Key landmarks include Federation Square, a prominent cultural precinct, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, just a short walk away. The Yarra River flows along its southern edge, offering scenic riverside promenades. For couples, the Brumby CBD offers an ideal base for a sophisticated city break. You're within easy reach of world-class dining, upscale shopping along Collins Street, and cultural venues like the National Gallery of Victoria. Many hotels in this area provide excellent city views and high-end amenities, superb for a romantic getaway.Solo travellers will also find the CBD very convenient. The extensive tram network makes it simple to explore independently, and there's a wide selection of cafes, bars, and entertainment options.
When is the best time to go to Brumby?
The best time to go to Brumby is during the shoulder seasons of spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May). These periods offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the region without the extremes of summer heat or winter chill.Spring in Brumby brings mild temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, and the countryside bursts into bloom, making it a picturesque time for outdoor activities. It's a great time for couples to enjoy scenic walks and winery tours, as the vineyards are often at their most beautiful.Autumn also offers comfortable temperatures, usually between 10°C and 20°C, with less rainfall than spring. The changing colours of the leaves create stunning landscapes, particularly around the Brumby River and its tributaries. This season is great for families looking to engage in outdoor adventures like cycling on the Brumby Rail Trail or exploring the Brumby State Forest, as the cooler air makes these activities more enjoyable. While summer (December to February) can be popular, it often sees temperatures soaring above 30°C, which can be less comfortable for extended outdoor exploration.
