"We stay at this hotel when we travel to see family. It is a fairly large hotel with excellent facilities. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. The food is also very good and the breakfast is excellent. We always enjoy our stay. The room is fairly standard with a king size bed but comfortable. We try and stay during the week as we’ve found that it’s better value. It gets quite busy at the weekends with golfers. "

"The room was nice and big but quite warm with no air conditioning. I was offered a fan but I am a light sleeper and we did have the windows open but it was quite noisy early morning. "The Royal Hotel is good enough. We come to Scunthorpe to see family and need a place to stay and the Royal hotel does the job. No frills, inexpensive and you get what you pay for. The bed is comfortable. The family room is spacious enough. It's a little dated but comfortable enough, staff are friendly and we've stayed here a couple of times and will continue to stay here "

"I found my stay at The Elms to be very pleasant and convenient. I stayed in The Stables just around the corner from the main hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. There were plenty of teas and coffees. The shower was decent. I enjoyed a good night's sleep. I also had dinner at the Indian Restaurant within the hotel. If I am in the area again, I will have no hesitation in staying there again"
